Nice, quiet room; Great location near Maastricht; beautiful grounds; The ancient trees are beautiful; very friendly staff. Great breakfast in a very comfortable breakfast room. Plenty of free parking; WiFi was reliable and fast; relaxing on the terrace with a drink was perfect.

There is really only one menu although the terrace, bistro and restaurant have different names. Making reservations for dinner was not straight forward. We ask for a reservation on the terrace but were told that was not possible In the evening, about half of the tables on the terrace were reserved. Same applies for breakfast, although there was plenty of room. The sink in our room leaked. After repairs, all the towels were gone and not replaced. We had to go to reception to get new ones. The mattresses need replacing but are still serviceable. There is no coffee in the room.

The location was amazing and magical. Beautiful grounds to walk and explore. A lovely walkway from the property to a very inexpensive fully electric bus system that drives into Maastricht. A train option is located there as well. Very easy to use and we appreciated that we could use this instead of driving into the city center. The staff that manages check-in and check-out, the bar, restaurant and breakfast area were all very kind and helpful. I highly recommend booking a table for dinner, as well as setting up the breakfast option during your stay. You will not be disappointed. We also loved that this was a dog friendly property. We loved all the green spaces and the quiet away from the city. Our next trip back to Europe we will stay here again 100%.

Thank you we had a wonderful stay. The grounds, the breakfast restaurant and the restaurant on the grounds were lovely spots for catching up with friends. The room was comfortable and good sized.

Some of the room decor felt a little outdated. Everything was clean but the room wasn't giving the same level as the rest of the hotel. We arrived by train and it is 20e to get a taxi from the train to the hotel one way and there is pretty much no other option unless wanting to walk min 20mins with bags.

Not too far out of the city of Maastricht, free parking outside of the hotel, the lobby is easily and quickly walkable from the parking lot. The self-check-in went by fast. Everything is tastefully decorated, a lot of thought must’ve gone into furnishing and decorating especially leading up to Christmas! The beds were comfortable and big enough for 2 to sleep in, the room had everything one could need. The only small downside was that the sink was outside of the bathroom. Hadn’t it been for the rather big shower that would have been a bigger downside. The room was quiet, no loud AC, not much noise to be heard from the hallways neither the outside area. No disturbance by housekeeping personell at all either. The breakfast buffet was well equipped with lots of choice to choose from, the breakfast room was yet again nicely decorated, that was enough staff around, we were warmly welcomed at the entrance, there was nothing left to be asked for. Overall quite a nice one night stay!

The location is good. Cosmetics in the room are fine-Rituals. Free large parking.

The safe box was closed. Noise from nearby airport and railway. The hotel entrance is not suitable for backage trolleys, gravel is through the yard and the suitcase has to be carried. Very poor breakfast. Forks are very small, coffee was bad. Too many dogs in the hotel. Pet friendly in this object means pets in the restaurant, some of the dogs were also sitting on chairs. The toilet is separate with a shower cabin and the sink is in the room, which is very impractical. No shoe spoon. Poor sound insulation. The cleaning personnel are loud in the morning.

When we arrived we were astonished at the beauty of the location, grounds and building. It was easy to park the car in a safe and generous location close to the hotel. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist on arrival and they were particularly welcoming to our dog. the ambiance of the property was extraordinarily beautiful. The food in the Bistro in the evening was very good and the staff were charming and friendly,breakfast the following morning was varied, generous and the staff extremely attentive even telling us that our dog was also a guest giving her water and a couple of biscuits entirely upon their own initiative

Lovely building and great grounds.

There were plenty of young staff who were lovely but didn't appear to be anyone directing them. Long waits for a drink first night when plenty of staff. Book a table you go in and no one is there and no one came. Had to go to the bar for attention. The wash basin was in the room and not in the bathroom.

The castle ground is beautiful. Our dog really enjoyed exploring it and running around in it. We love that our dog is welcomed as part of the family and could be everywhere with us. We had a dog bed and a pouch with a few dog biscuits, a couple of dog poop bags and a tennis ball. The breakfast was not astounding but they were sufficient with adequate variety, tasted fresh and great, which we found just perfect for breakfast.

The room was pretty small and simple. Since we were only staying overnight, it was not much an issue for us as we preferred to be outside on the castle ground and the city. But it's certainly not a resort type of room where you would want to hang. I don't recall there were many types of them either as the upper floors have meeting rooms instead of more rooms. The dining restaurant looks absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the place was booked out for a student party there. We did not enter as it was far too noisy and crowded. We had some snacks and drinks in the breakfast room instead which was being used as the restaurant for the evening. Perhaps it was due to the resources being pulled to cater for the party, but waitstaffs were pretty inattentive.

Staying in a castle is truly a unique experience! The historic building is stunning, with well-maintained grounds and a charming atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent—diverse and delicious—and the staff’s attention was much appreciated.

The room was rather disappointing. It was very small, located in the basement, and felt quite basic. If not for the castle setting, it wouldn’t justify the price.

The breakfast buffet was quite nice and plenty of selections for people with no dietary restrictions. We asked for a ground level room because we traveled with our dog and the hotel gave us one which was great for not having to go through the lobby every time. The restaurant menu was pretty nice. the bar had a good selection of drinks to pick from. The hotel room was pretty clean. The shower was nice, it had good water pressure and it had a walk in shower which was very nice. They have refillable large soap and shampoo bottles in the rooms, which I like from sustainability perspective. The hotel grounds are super nice. Very green and clean. it was nice to walk around and enjoy the nature. There were sequoia trees which was surprising. A dragon in the garden and little doors on trees for the elves :) It was super sweet. The bar and the green room were very elegant, lots of nice architectural details. I will most probably go back.

No gluten free or dairy free milk selections at breakfast (my husband has restrictions so he ate fruits mostly) The service was very slow or non-existent but I'm hoping it was because of the two weddings that took place over the weekend. Thankfully we weren't on a rush so we waited until someone showed up for the most part. The room was quite small, we had a hard time fitting, two adults and a dog, but we did. No slippers or robes in the room.
