Perfect location for me as it is on walking distance to my work. Love the room and its view, the good bed -always sleep well- and the fact that is is really quiet. Have not used the breakfast. Also love the fact that families and young people are around with great positive energy.

You have to be aware that it is a youth hostel which does not have a regular restaurant. So, when large groups are there or the place if fully booked, they serve a buffet dinner. It's probably good, but finished is finished. As this was the case on all my evenings, one time I could order a pizza (not recommended) and once the nachos (very nice). But, five minutes walk further up, there are plenty of cafés and restaurants if you need something else.

Stayokay is superbly located. Amazing premises & warm hearted staff both at reception & the cosy bar. Thomas is very professional & a sweetheart. It was a pleasure to meet him. You can store your luggage & bike for free, before & after your stay. I didn't have breakfast but coffee was excellent! I loved Maastricht's vibe and staying in Stayokay was part of the memorable weekend.

Beds lack curtains and there are mostly mixed dorms. I believe with the amount of both male & female travellers, gender based dorms could be easily arranged

Great location walking distance to all attractions. Nice view from the window on the river. Possibility to store bikes in bike room. Very nice and helping staff. And in the night it was very quite so a very good sleep (we had private room).

We came in rush hour with car and found it complicated to get off the bags (I did not see there is a K+R spot in front of the hotel at first, had to return) and then re-park the car a bit further (the parking next door was full). But the staff was very helpful on giving us the best support.

The location of this hostel is perfect, very close to the city center, a 10 min walk, near the river. I stayed there during the carnival celebration, and it was calm and quiet. I loved that. Staff were very friendly. The room was clean, new, and convenient with a locker. A big nice common area. I had a pleasant first time hostel stay!

Everything was excellent! I only would have appreciated that the check-out time would have been 11 am instead of 10 am, but that is just personal preference.

The location of the hostel is great as it's right in the city center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I left my luggage there to join a walking tour and came back after check-out. I was very grateful that the hostel opened very late as I took the bus and arrived at around 11:40 PM and they welcomed me warmly. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean. I cannot recommend this hostel enough!

Central cooling system can not be set by the guests in the room as it is quite usual everywhere. It is quite loude all over the night. The promote a parking at the other side of the Maas river at 15 minutes walking distance, while there is a parking at the doorstep for cheaper

Nothing to tell since I was there for one night only. I guess it is the nature of a hostel with guests arriving and leaving in the middle of the night.

That was my first time travelling solo as a female and booking a mixed dorm. It was predominantly occupied by male guests and as I told the receptionist about my concerns I have only found out that she clearly was not trained to solve conflict situations. Her attitude and the body language were distant and non-empathetic. I was ready to go to Novotel without any refund rather than staying there. At the end everything was alright and I stayed there.

Great location - right next to the canal and the public park, 15-20 mins into the city centre and 25 mins to the station. Clean, quiet, comfortable. All beds have linen/charging points and lights. Small lockers and room under the beds for luggage. Friendly staff. Ensuite shower and toilet separated.

Double check your booking with the place as mine didn’t process from booking.com. They found my reservation on the booking.con system but not their system - they were able to allocate me a room etc but just took and while and might have been an issue if they were booked out. There are pretty much no young people here it’s mostly older travellers/business people.

I stayed in StayOkay in Amsterdam, and thought it was really good, so I knew what to expect Rooms are regular- a bit basic, but fine. However the common areas are the best- lots of places with nice couches to hang out, good bar and a really nice terrace on the river. The staff were quite nice and friendly, and it was really quiet.

A little bit out of the center. Personally I like it when there are curtains on the bed in the dorm room.

Room was quite clean, spacious considering this was in a hostel and had a very nice river view (very pretty at night)

We had dinner served at their restaurant one of the night - 1. The information leaflet and the reception staff stated that the dinner is served from 6pm onwards but actually it was 7pm. 2. The food was cold. from chicken to pitta to chips. not a single item was even warm which made the dinner not so pleasant.
