I liked the vibe of the hotel and the way it associated itself with its former role as a cinema some 20 years earlier before it was converted into a hotel. The decorating was very much related to the world of cinema, both subtle and modern. The small cinema adequate for 13/14 persons within the hotel named Plush & Bubble gum was a novel idea and useful for the guests to visit when perhaps bad weather restricted persons going out for a walk.

Everything was fine and met both mine and my wife`s requirements. A very comfortable establishment, located in the centre of Maastricht, very close to restaurants and shops. The staff of the hotel are both very professional and friendly with a distinctly welcoming nature.

The hotel’s location was excellent—very central with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Despite the lively surroundings, the street where the hotel is situated is quiet and peaceful. There’s a parking facility close by. We were welcomed with a complimentary drink at the bar, which was a nice touch. The hotel also features a small movie theater room that we didn’t use, but it looked inviting. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which added positively to our overall experience.

According to the hotel’s website, check-in is available from 15h00, but our room wasn’t ready at that time. Fortunately, we were able to enjoy our complimentary welcome drink while we waited. The soundproofing in the rooms could be improved, as we could hear people in the corridor quite clearly. Additionally, most surfaces in the room were quite dusty, despite the room having just been cleaned.

I chose the hotel from a list sent by the organizers for its theatrical atmosphere. I like movies and staying in an old movie theater seemed fun, but I never imagined I would enjoy it so much, from the old projector in the breakfast room to the room numbers. Although the allusions to cinema are great, the super pleasant staff who are always attentive to the guests is what makes the stay at Mabi so pleasant. Two of them that came to Mabi when it was still a cinema told me a little about the history of the place.

The location was great. Close to everything, including bars, restaurants, shopping and attractions. The room was big and the bed as well. The staff was very friendly. We were able to enjoy the free glass of wine one of the days. Very nice idea!. We were able to enter to the rooms before the check in time!. Thanks!

I tried to use the remote control in my room and it was broken. I like watching TV from my bed before sleeping and it was not possible. The floor was not very clean. My foot was dirty after walking around the room.

The hotel is in a very central location near to the historic squares and buildings of Maastricht. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating without being overbearing. The room was fairly small but totally adequate and had all necessary facilities. We were particularly impressed by the free tasty wine and nibbles in their happy hour and also their little in-house cinema.

We couldn't get the TV to work properly but we used our laptop anyway and, admittedly, we never asked the staff for help because the WiFi was good enough for laptop streaming.

The whole experience and stay at Mabi exceeded our expectations. Helpful and responsive reception staff. Carmela was great as her two other colleagues during our stay. The room for 4 people was spacious, with comfortable beds, and quiet. Parking was public covered space not far from the hotel. Breakfast had salmon and champagne. Loved the Happy Hour concept ! Convenient location with just few meters to the square where good restaurants and bars were located.

Nice and friendly staff, fine room, nothing special, but had the necessaries, incl coffee machine and fridge. Nice touches: as the hotel was a cinema earlier, the style is kept with free popcorn and movie theatre options; plus wine happy hour makes the experience welcoming. Nice central location to walk around town.

Breakfast price on the higher end, but plenty of alternatives in the city.

The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for my needs. The staff were always available and helpful.

My room was directly over the street so quite noisy and very overlooked if the curtains were open. My air conditioning was very noisy so I could not have it on at night even though there was a heat wave. I did mention this to staff but as far as I’m aware no action was taken.

Comfortable rooms, staff available 100percent of the time, able to write through whatsapp to ask things and got replies immediately... there are croissants in the morning for hungry newcomers, and there is complementary wine every day between 5 and 6, I never saw this anywhere before. The location is just perfect, literally 30sec walking from Market Square with many lovely bars/cafes as well as changing market activities throughout the week.. I had an excellent stay here. Rooms were very clean and well kept,too.

Black walls on half of the room was unusual, but it went with the overall style of the place, so not that bad actually. There was no fridge, which I thought is not very typical. So that made buying cheese from market a bit difficult.

Wine o'clock down in the bar, there's a cinema that you can book and you get given popcorn on arrival. Breakfast had a good selection. Very friendly and professional staff. Check-in and check-out were easy. Rooms are a good size and well fitted. Enough space to hang coats and clothes and easy access to light switches. Good location near the the city center (in Maastricht it's on the opposite side of the river to the train station).

It's not common in too many hotels but having USB ports in the rooms for charging would be a welcome addition (mostly because I discovered that I brought the cable but forgot my physical charger).
