We were looking for small town, countryside,quiet experience. This place is amazing. We were greeted by the friendliest staff. They were ALL so helpful. Ghislaine, one of the property hosts welcomed us and showed us around and gave great suggestions. She made us feel like we knew her forever. We can’t wait to go back. The experience and ambience at Voltaire restaurant is unforgettable. It was amazing. Every bit worth it. We loved it.

There was nothing not to like.

The staff was really lovely and made us feel really comfortable and cared for. The setting is gorgeous and great for walking, running or cycling. The bed & shower were so comfy and the shower products smelled great. The mansion has been amazingly restored and beautifully styled, so it’s a super luxurious experience to be there. The bistro (which is a short stroll from the mansion) is really good, we enjoyed our lunch and dinner there. I especially enjoyed the sea bass ceviche! Breakfast is at the mansion and is very generous and exceptionally tasty, it’s especially enjoyable on the terrace on a beautiful day. It’s really worth the money. There are some comfy seats by the lake outside to read and relax on sunny days. Overall we really, really loved our stay here and are likely to return.

The more affordable rooms (loft & coach house rooms) have quite small & really high windows so you miss out on views of the beautiful grounds unless you’re standing in front of them. There isn’t a lobby or library to relax if the weather isn’t nice enough for sitting outside, but there is a bar and comfy seats outside. We weren’t permitted to have breakfast outside on our second day, despite the fact that we had done so the day before and the weather was better. We had a 24-hour flight ahead of us so we were trying to enjoy as much outdoor time as possible, so we were a little disappointed at that. We were allowed to take our coffee outside afterwards. Their restaurant Voltaire isn’t open on Sundays and Mondays, so we didn’t get to try that, but the bistro is open and very nice.

An exceptionally beautiful and relaxing place with beauty surrounding it. The Parc Suite is stunning with a view on the lake. Like a Monet Painting. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and supportive in every matter. It‘s quiet, beautiful and peaceful. We rented bikes and enjoyed the area and nature. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect.

Amazing estate! Everything is on the highest level! Territory, rooms, restaurants, personnel are amazing! We had the best time. Bistro Lof has delicious food and very nice service! Exceptional service in the whole hotel! We have ordered a birthday cake and the patisserie chef of the landgoed baked amazing cake for us, exceeding all expectations!! Thank you for wonderful day!

the serene and beauty of the place. the breakfast is not to miss and the restaurants are amazing. great walks too. staff are superb

you cant plan to go there without a car. there is no bell man to carry your luggage over the stairs, let alone a golf car to drop you at the end of the road where you can find transportation. Its an exclusive place, but expect to be isolated and you may suffer a bit without a car. They do have a taxi service that you can prebook, but its rather quite expensive provided its the only option available.

Beautiful location on the lake and within Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Our suite had an amazing view of the water with a bathtub making the most of this stunning outlook. The restaurant on the ground floor was cosy at dinner time with excellent service, unfortunately it experienced some challenges from a power outage and the dining experience was not what we expected as the menu had to be changed to fewer courses but we were still charged the full rate. Lunch at Lof, the next day was excellent.

The heating was set a little too low for us, however, this was a minor annoyance as there is so much to like about this wonderful property.

Everything about our stay was excellent. On top of that, dinner at Voltaire was one of the culinary highlights of my life so far!

Very minor nitpick, but any noise will get through the thin windows at the “koetshuis” building - not a problem if you don’t mind mostly bird noises waking you up very early in the morning.

Beautifully located in an impressive park. The rooms were big and comfortable, interesting decorations. Excellent food at the bistro and at breakfast; very friendly staff at breakfast. Were it not just one problem with cleanliness, the stay would be perfect.

I was looking for something and checked the area under the bed - needs some swiping... Otherwise, the room was clean.

Beautiful location, nice interior design and lovey setting in a large park. This time we had dinner in the bistro which was great (during an earlier stay we enjoyed the Michelin star restaurant) and the breakfast was also very nice. And last but not least the staff was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was tasty, several options in a beautiful setting b the lake. Shoutout to Emma at reception who was helpful and attentive since the time of the booking up until the last minute of our stay.
