Breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of choice and staff were very attentive, pleasant and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved the location. Beautiful grounds and loved the walks and cycle rides to Valkenburg. We had dinner in the restaurant on our second night which was delicious. The coffee shop was a lovely cosy place and we enjoyed a few drinks there but did not have a meal there as we were already booked into the main restaurant. We found the staff to be friendly and happy to chat with us and share their knowledge of the building. We loved the swimming pool and spa. Unfortunately we did not have time to have a spa treatment but maybe on our next visit.

The hotel itself and the property are extremely beautiful. It is surrounded by nature which is great especially if you’re looking to hike a bit in the surrounding area. The hotel was very relaxing and quiet. We travelled with our dog and there are many places on the hotel property and around it to walk your dog. The staff was very kind and welcoming, including to our dog. He received a lovely note, snacks and a bed when we arrived. My favorite part was the rose garden in which you can relax and watch the horses walk by in the evening. The breakfast was very delicious and had lots of options. All together it was a wonderful stay and the hotel exceeded my expectations.

It was a real treat. A very warm welcome by the staff, a beautiful decorated room with a little terras taking into consideration our preferences. A little minibar and coffee/tea machine. Extra coffee pads were supplied at no cost. Daily cleaning and a turn down service in the evening. It is all the little touches that make it special. The location is fabulous, adjacent to the Ingendael nature reserve, I made wonderful walks every day, and our room looked out over the beautiful garden and reserve. The restaurant is very good as well with excellent dishes and very friendly staff. The dishes slightly on the small side, potions don't seem to be adjusted, taking into consideration the number of courses. The grounds, the art, and the buildings all very beautiful. A real treat.

I hesitate to mention minor points because it was so wonderful but encourage that a better deal is found for the bike rentals. Those are very expensive. I also found that no outside breakfast, diner and bar drinks are offered whilst it was beautiful weather.

The property is gorgeous, with every nook and cranny oozing with history and character. Driving in was easy, check-in was helpful, showed us all interesting spots to visit on a map and asked to help with our luggage. We took a late lunch at the bistro close to the grounds entry, which was delicious. This is where we tried the house wine for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. We chose the rose garden and the orchard as a place to unwind before dinner. Dinner was sublime and the staff really took the dietary needs of my pregnant wife seriously. Almost every dish was extra tailored specifically for her. Room was lovely and had a very nice welcome gift for my wife’s birthday. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had with very nice choices a la carte and buffet. After checkout we borrowed an umbrella for the sun and went around on a hike that was guided via an app, all was very easy to install and follow. Coming back we also went into the church and learned about the life of St. Gerlac and his journey from a bandit to a saint, not often you hear about such redemption arcs. Back at the hotel the staff went the extra mile to open the bar ahead of schedule to serve us drinks before we set off home.

Fairy tale facilities, each room must be an adventure to stay in. The staff was amazing, we arrived at 2am, and even at that hour, the night staff could talk about the history of the building, clearly they love this place! The building that our room was in, the breakfast and the reception buildings, all had such beautiful design respecting the history. We had a two bedroom residence and it had a very beautiful decoration. Pool building, the saunas, the sun beds were crisp and clean, the free drinks at the pool was a really nice touch, and I had never seen swimming suits sold by the pool, which is actually a very nice idea. The breakfast was also great.

We had the two bedroom residence, it was one of the hottest days in the Netherlands, and the rooms felt really hot, we couldn't find the AC and the mosquito nets on the windows were broken. But windows helped, we had some fresh air, and really glad that we didn't get attacked by mosquitos :D

The staff of this hotel is incredible - everyone is polite and helpful. The territory is absolutely marvelous with an extensive sculpture collection and well maintained greenery. The fact that it has its own wellness facilities was the selling point for me to book this specific property.

The rooms could have been cleaned with more care. The fact that on top of high rates for stay they charge extra for the mini bar and even cream in the suite 's bathroom is putting a bit of a questionable color. Either make it into a list of extras that are possible, but putting it in front of people like some sort of mini shop in your room that you already paid for is not how you come out carrying about your visitors.

The location and the history behind it is amazing (even though I would have expected the hotel management to have done more to engage the guests into what to do around). Both restaurants are superb! Would be interested to stay in the main building), it was in renivatiin at the time of our stay).

The room (two bedroom suite) where we stayed, while huge, would benefit from some maintenance - it was visible it aged and this didn't help to feel cosy. There was no "lobby-like" area where you can stay and relax. The breakfast was quite average (same options every day, quite basic ones, no real espresso and freshly squeezed orange juice) - would have expected more of a R&C member and considering the quality of the restaurants for dinner.

Everything was excellent, especially considering that the hotel was having some renovation work done and there were clearly issues with IT and some organisation due to one building being out of action. But considering those handicaps the place did remarkably well and the dogs absolutely adored it - wonderful, safe country walking, their first geese, plenty of interesting artworks ......and total peace and quiet. I would put in a special mention for the excellent , charming service - nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The dogs would say, if they could, that they LOVED their smart khaki padded beds, the generous bowls of dog treats, the designer poo bags and the admiring pats from one of the staff, who slipped them a few extra nibbles.....

My only "complaint" was that the restaurant was full up, but I was able to order room service. Room service had limited choice, but it was absolutely excellent and I was worn out from travelling...so in the end that was a good thing.

An absolutely wonderful experience. A gorgeous facility surrounded by nature. Very relaxing stay. The room was huge and the bed comfy. We felt really pampered. The place is full of art pieces, that I really appreciated. Also there are 2 restaurants on the facility, one is a high end restaurant perfect for a special dinner, the other is the cutest place for lunch or coffee.

The only thing that was a bit below expectations was the Spa, compared to the rest of the establishment. But to be fair, it was also because it was really busy, and there were kids jumping and screaming.

Our coffee machine did not work. One has to scan the QR code for instructions. It only dispensed hot water and finally it was changed. Also there was a half opened cream that had to be chucked away. We think these things should be checked before the arrival of new guests considering the status of the hotel. We also found the lighting in the bedroom on the low side.
