The spa area is just amazing and the best I’ve ever been to. There are several saunas for every preferences, different pools to cool down and also plenty of sun beds and other places to rest. The spa couldn’t be better. The rooms were also comfy, but only a bit warm. The „AC“ doesn’t work properly and is extremely loud and can’t be used at night for this reason.

It’s a strange policy that you MUST wear a bathrobe everywhere in the hotel. You can allow guests to do so but it shouldn’t be mandatory to sit in your bathrobe at dinner and breakfast. Just let the people decide what they want to wear as.

The swimming pools are uniquely positioned and the temperature is perfect in every sauna/jacuzzi/pool we’ve been. * We had an amazing rest/sleep in our room - it was quiet and peaceful at all times. Thank you so much for that - we are not taking it for granted. The rooms are uniquely positioned so you can’t hear any noise from other facilities. * The location is great. Easily accessible by public transportation - direct bus from Maastricht. The nearby city Valkenburg is charming and has a lot to offer in terms of food, history and tourist attractions. * The fact that this spa uses real thermal water. * Price/value if you book in advance.

* the room was ok, but a bit dusty and can use some deep cleaning. * some parts of the hotel have an outdated feel. It’s still impressive look after 30 years of services, but considering the popularity can be renovated (there is some ongoing upgrade happening now) * food is good for spa in general, but not great. * some of the waiters weren’t particularly nice or attentive (referring to the restaurant Senses in the evening).

30 minutes riding from Liège, nearby Maastricht, 2 minutes from Valkenburg in the splendid countryside of Cauberg, Thermae2000 is a high standard thermal baths hotel. Personnel is really sweet and very professionnal, opgietingen zijn top and the place is also very well maintained, beautiful garden and CLEAN. It is always an utmost pleasure to come and relax, while being attended by such generous people as the team over there. Thanks guys, you've got the secret of it all: to do it with love and generosity.

Location is great and everything has a very luxurious atmosphere. The sideways down going elevator is, in my opinion, already a mini attraction (really wish it would go further down, perhaps to a cave cafe, just an idea). Bathtub in the room but of course, with excess to the spa facilities, it was not needed. Breakfast buffet with everything imaginable, from healthy yogurt, fruits, crackers, buns, rolls, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, delis, cheeses, to croissants, pasties, coffees, teas, fresh juices etc. etc. If it wasn’t so expensive, we would be going more often for a weekend or so.

When you stay overnight as a guest you receive towel, bathrobe and slippers, and you can use the massage chairs as much as you can. Room was big, comfy bed and we had a nice balcony. Breakfast was good but go early to avoid crowdedness. Amenities were good, spacious and even with many guests you can find places to be quiet, for example the relaxation room under the solarium its great to read a book or sleep. If you stay over for only one night, the other day you can leave all your belongings inside a locker and enjoy until late, they have showers, changing room spaces, so with this option we enjoyed two days. They have various spa options (check the cabins outside too). You can bring a bottle of water and fill it up there, you can bring it with you to many places to keep hydrated. Our stay was during the mixed-day (as of the calendar), therefore in the pool people were wearing swimwear and inside the saunas people were naked. It was not very clear to us during this mixed-day if inside the saunas we could or not wear swimwear (as everyone was naked). Don't get me wrong, it was a nice experience (you can be with the towel all the time but with no swimwear).

If it is your first time and you are shy, I would recommend look at the calendar first and go on the swimwear-day.

I didn’t realize that the room I booked had no air conditioning (other options do). A mobile unit was provided, but it was a bit noisy and not very effective. Also, it would be nicer if parking fees were included, as it costs €15 per day.

The room is spacious, modern and clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast is good enough and especially the different granolas were delicious. We really enjoyed the saunas, swimming area and massages we took (Lomi Lomi and Lotus). Staff is regularly checking on sauna status, ensuring that all remain up to quality / get refreshed as needed.

Hotel guests are able to enter the sauna landscape and pool 1 hour earlier, but the saunas we could access were limited as many were not yet up to temperature. The dinner is of good quality, but the price paid vs. quality is out of balance.

Staff was excellent. Food was really good - not the pub food, but the three course menu. Lots of different Spa facilities to choose from. Some might need a bit of an update.

Extremely loud air-conditioning in the room. The cleanliness of the rooms and the facilities can definitely be improved.

We had to pay 15€ for parking. Which normally I wouldn't mind but being a hotel guest (so not a daily visitor just for the spa) you already pay quite some money for your stay. I'd expect parking to be included. Upon booking, I requested a "birthday package" which meant that they would decorate the room as a surprise for my partner's b-day. Unfortunately they forgot, no decorations and it was pretty disappointing

We come very often. It's a great stay and a great spa! Perhaps, the best spa in the country! Amazing breakfast and tidy rooms. The surrounding area is safe and nice to walk around.

It's a bit on an expensive side to stay there and prices only have risen over years. Which is expected but still wish it was more affordable to stay overnight.
