We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Walram! The location is perfect—right next to the river and just a short walk to all the main attractions, including the castle ruins and the charming town center. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which was exactly what we needed after a day of exploring and biking. We also appreciated the smooth check-in and the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. It was a great base for our biking and hiking activities, and we would definitely come back again. Thanks to the whole team for making our short trip so enjoyable!

Nothing bad, all was good

The breakfast buffet offered a lot of variety and was well worth the price. The staff was very welcoming and informative. The room was clean, its interior was simple and tasteful. The restaurant, bar and the lobby spaces of the hotel had a cozy atmosphere.

The information card in the room indicated that we had to state our preference for cleaning on the doorknob ("clean please" vs "do not disturb") before 1 PM, when the cleaning service would be starting. We planned to do this when we would go out. However, the cleaner entered our room already at 9:50 AM while we were still in bed. That was not a pleasant experience.

Absolutely fantastic hotel with the Christmas market right on the doorstep. Can't fault anything about this place. Nicely decorated room with lots of space, great ensuite power shower with really lovely toiletries, comfy bed, lots of choice for breakfast, secure parking available behind the hotel at a good price, great facilities, friendly and helpful staff. In a great area at the side of the river with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. The Christmas market in the caves are amazing and are well worth a visit only 8 mins walk from the hotel. Easy walking for all ages and fitness. Will definitely go here again. No complaints from us at all.

This was a return visit to the Walram, and our first since the flood, it certainly lived up to expectations. Having been completely refurbished the downstairs areas are modern and provide a relaxing environment. The staff are warm and friendly, and spoke good English. The hotel is right in the heart of town close to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. Parking is secure and reasonably priced.

We were surprised the restaurant was not open for evening meals, but with over 100 restaurants and bars located close by we fully understand this commercial decision. We certainly did not struggle to find somewhere to eat.

The hotel is really nice. We stayed in a Double room plus which was big and comfortable. The hotel is in the city center and very near to restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Despite that, the area is quite calm especially during the night. Our favorite things were the breakfast and the swimming pool. The breakfast has so much variety and everything is delicious. The swimming pool was a great addition for us because our main purpose for this weekend was to relax. We wish we could have stayed longer. Totally recommend!

The parking is paid everywhere and the hotel only provides paid parking as well, it is not included in the reservation fee.

Classic and very comfortable hotel

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very good, near all restaurants but also close to larger roads. OK walking distance from the station. Comfortable beds.

Economy room had only one window on a very small internal square with no view, that was very disappointing. There was a noisy ventilation-installation right outside the window, so we had to close the window at night. Bathroom was outdated.

Staff are very friendly, location is perfect, parking is just in front of the hotel. Shower is conformable (water pressure is good). Room is clean. Breakfast is tasty with multiple options (more like British-style breakfast)

electrical connection of water boiler is really bad (we cannot boil water properly), but we were lazy to ask for another one. Room is relatively small but good enough. Shower is inside a bath, maybe inconvenient for old people as you have to move your legs high to get into bath to shower. Parking place can be quite full on weekends or holidays, but there are other parking options around.

The staff- everyone - was friendly and helpful. Starting from the check-in until check out. They try to provide answers for our needs/questions. The complimentary breakfast buffet was plenty, croissants and pain au chocolate was fresh and flaky. The only thing we didn’t like was that one of the beds in our room was crooked/not level. My partner was not able to get a restful sleep. Too uncomfortable.

The location was very good. the breakfast had plenty of choice. The coffees in the lobby were great. the staff was very friendly and I had a shed where I could store my bike. All in all perfect for a short cycling trip.

nothing really. Overall it was all nice. the room was perhaps a bit dated and no airconditioning was a bit rough on the war, days I was there. However, the beds were good, and everything was clean, so no real complaints about this price point.
