Wow! What a place! The room itself is more like a suite, with a very large bathroom area, separate large sleeping room (with incredibly high ceilings and chandelier) and everything you could need, or may have forgotten. Free parking out the back, too. Our package had breakfast included at their sister hotel (short walk/ drive) which was delicious (and plentiful) so that was also much appreciated. The village of VALKENBURG is a really bustly place, nice architecture and lots of choice of places to eat. And the countryside around is beautiful too - we did a great fifty mile bike ride from the door, for those who like that kind of thing! Thoroughly recommended.

Nothing we didn’t like about the property itself. Only thing, the booking.com check in information is made up of lots of different messages clearly copied and pasted, making it unnecessarily complicated, and contradictory. It includes downloading an app which was a right faff and even then didn’t work. There’s a phone number for the main hotel included in those instructions. Save yourself a whole heap of time and concern and ring that straightaway instead. Sorted!

Beautiful historic villa in the town with good free parking on site. The villa is owned and run by the Park Hotel nearby. The room (room 804) on the upper ground floor was very large with very comfortable twin beds. The bathroom was spectacular with a separate bath and shower. A fan was provided in the bedroom which was appreciated. A kettle was also provided. Breakfast was superb including a cooked option. The staff were very helpful especially Karen who looks after the villa. So glad we found this place and would definitely stay here again.

Very nice spacious and comfortable room and a good location. The pool at the "parent" hotel is available for use and it is a good indoor pool. We also ate dinner at the main hotel and were impressed by the food - possibly our best dinner out all holiday

Access on arrival was problematic - we hadn't received the room access code that we should have, and then the automated check-in system didn't work... Phoned reception at the main hotel and they were very helpful and sent someone straight away. So they recovered well - but need to make their system more reliable!

Check in was too complcated and check inn computer was out of order and could not be repaired in the weekend. A good back up was not available and we had to walk to the main hotel 800 meters further to pick up the room key…we were compensated with a free wine for the inconvenience

Great location, beautiful building + room (with heigh ceiling) and styling. We loved the spaciousness! Also, host Robert was super friendly and welcoming when we had our breakfast in the morning. We will definitely come back again.

No human check in. We received an email with a number and code to open the door but the codes didn't work. After that, you have to check in digitally on a screen downstairs. An older couple left the hotel because they could not handle this automated system. Shame.

Great location, big comfortable room with very high ceilings. Clean, well presented. A fabulous breakfast is served in the building across the courtyard. Full access to the facilities in the main hotel, which is a 10 minute walk through the town. There's private parking behind the villa. It was very welcome as we were touring on our motorbikes. Our room (803) also had an annexe with a large table and chairs and double doors with steps to an outdoor seating area in the grounds under the shade of a large tree. 2 minutes walk into the centre of Valkenberg. Lots to see and do. We would stay again.

You need to download and use an app to get a door access code, which appears on the day of arrival. The code didn't arrive. There is an intercom next to the door and a phone number, which we used to gain entry. Check-in is then done inside via a touch screen. We were in room 803, and the bed was central to the room. The bath and basin are behind the bed, and the shower and toilet are sectioned off at the back of the room. There's no door on either. Must be a Dutch thing?

This is a wonderfully restored 19th century villa, decorated with great taste. Super location, 5 minutes from the train station. Large spacious bathroom. Fine linens. Karen who is in charge of housekeeping and breakfast is marvellous. The room was spotless. Breakfast was a dream with plenty of everything - fresh fruit, wonderful breads, eggs, bacon, and everything else one could desire. I intend to go again next year.

I was not given the password for the WiFi and my Villa. And the check-in was a bit confusing. I never received a message/email with an App to download my eCard which gave me access into the Villa and the Carriage House for breakfast. I had to walk to the sister/main hotel 15 minutes away with my suitcase to get my key which was in effect was an eKey. It was somewhat stressful. All these procedures were not properly explained and should be made clear at Booking.

The house is beautiful, the breakfast was nice. The room is overall comfortable with a big bathroom. The staff in the breakfast room was friendly.

There’s no life so it’s not easy to carry the luggages upstairs. Also there was no air conditioning so I opened the windows and many bugs flew in. As least the environment is good and natural lol. Also I couldn’t receive the mobile key so I waited 15mins to get in successfully while checking in. And the celling is quite low so we’ve bumped into it several times.

Location was perfect. Most attractions can be reached on foot. Breakfast hostess Karen is the best. She's definitely this Villa's saving grace.

The no human check-in/out facility is a deal breaker for this property especially for older people. It's always out of order and you need to go to it's sister hotel to get your room key.

The room was beautiful and spacious! The bed and lining were incredibly comfortable. I loved the high-ceiling in both the room and the bathroom. The temperature was also really nice! I expected it to be cold due to being an old house but I was greatly surprised that it wasn't. It was great to have the parking on the spot and walking distance to all the main sights in Valkenburg.

The breakfast was quite basic and also the check-in process wasn't smooth. I understand glitches in the system can happen but maybe the key/code/QR could have been sent to via email if the phone wasn't working. Normally I wouldn't mind about these things but given that we had to arrive before the receiption was available to pick up our key, it gave more stress than normal.
