Perfect breakfast, squeaky clean rooms, warm staff, beautiful atmosphere and lovely pool & wellness facilities - I have an 11 year old and every day we were looking forward to going back to the hotel to enjoy some pool time and to rest in our room

I gave 9/10 because of a tiny mishap for the bike rentals. The portal you purchase extras did not have very detailed information about bikes. We ended up cancelling our reservation for bikes cause they don’t have child bikes or bike seats. If we could foresee this, we could’ve reached out to another bike rental before everything shut down for Easter. BUT this didn’t have an impact on our stay cause the bikes weren’t our main transportation.

Excellent hotel in great environment. Rooms are comfortable, beds are great. Nice little wellness area with no extra charge. Breakfast was good but busy. We were offered a later check-out time which was great.

We booked the ‘castle dinner’ instead of eating at the hotel restaurant. The food was average, with a poor wine selection. Not possible to order sides (like fries). Although staff tried their best we were disappointed with the level of quality presented. Hotel food and drinks (also in the cafe area) is overpriced.

Everything was great. The hotel is located next to a lake and surrounded by greenery and lush landscape. It has all the facilities needed and we especially loved the pool, sauna and fitness room. Everything was sparkling clean, the breakfast was generous, the staff were friendly. We had an incredible relaxing weekend. They even made a separate bed for our 6 year old free of charge. This hotel is a gem, we’ll surely come back.

I’m very picky and I basically had trouble finding anything to complain about :) Maybe the water pressure in our bathroom?

We visited for a short stay and had a very relaxing time. The hotel is quietly located and we had a spacious room facing sunny south. The beds were comfortable and the hotel has everything you need with a delicious food included (we tried breakfast and dinner). We came with our 4 year old daughter and she enjoyed the stay and the swimming pool. The staff was very nice, polite and very informative.

It was a surprise. Old buildings with fine, comfy and refurbished rooms. Breakfast was very complete and tasty. The bar was very nice, separated from the restaurant. Surroundings very calm and nature integrated.

I imagine that it must be cold to move from the rooms to the breakfast during the winter or rain. That was the only thing I could notice.

This is a special resort located near the three-country point and so the area is very special. We got two spacious rooms that were connected so we can help our daughter family with a baby in the other room, which was very convenient.

There is no air-condition so when you open the windows / doors, there are no nets to prevent mosquitos to enter the room and bite you during the night (there are many mosquitos due to the adjacent lake).

The room was very large and comfortable. Not enough lighting though . The beds were very good. My husband would give you a 10, I am not happy with that. An 8 is enough for me. I liked the buildings, the castle looked nice. We had dinner in the hotel once. Very small pretty meals, but they tasted very good

The breakfast was quite good, but the bread was not up to scratch. Even freshly cut french bread was stale very quickly. I was not impressed. Housekeeping was not good enough. Sure the room looked nice, but crockery we left after dinner (we took desserts to our room) was not taken away until we left it outside our door. Reception staff could have been a little friendlier

Hotel is a few kms outside the village of Vaals. Nice area for hiking or cycling. It is pretty standard luxury, nothing that will surprise you. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food in the bar and restaurant was nice! We walked to the Lodge for lunch and went to Voncken in Vaals to buy delicious 'vlaaien'.

Some of the electric car chargers did not ... charge. Little to complain about or it must be the lack of lights in the room. I find out booking via Booking.com is cheaper than via the hotel directly. Limited selection of beers in the bar.

Well maintained property; nice restaurant and bars. Make sure to book a room not facing any roads; not that there’s much traffic but when a car does drive by and your window is open, you will hear it. Hotel is close to all main attractions of Deep South Limburg and many opportunities to explore the area on foot, even walk to Germany and Belgium. Hotel has a pool and sauna.

No obvious things i did not like.

The staff, facilities, room, breakfast, and location were all great! Thanks to the extremely hospitable staff, you feel welcome in every part of the hotel which is quite unique in the Netherlands. The location was fabulous as well- in the middle of nature where you can have a great hiking experience with the beautiful hills of the south. The room was very clean and comfortable as well. The small gifts in our room were quite a nice touch to the overall experience. There was a variety of options for the breakfast as well as for dinner and everything was super lekker! :)

We called reception twice from our room to order bathrobes and slippers, and later in the night, some tea. On both occasions, we needed to go and pick it up from the reception. When you are in full relaxation mode after tiring hiking, all you want is accessibility without a lot of effort. Lastly, I am used to paying a small rental price for bathrobes in spa centers, but I was surprised when I have been asked to pay a rental price for the bathrobes in a four-star hotel/castle which is not a spa center.
