The room was comfortable and neat. Nice sized bathroom with a tub and shower. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, we travelled with our two schnauzers and there was a nice dog treat for them when we arrived. Restaurant is also pretty good and the offer of room service was a nice treat.

The rooms are not very soundproofed so you are able to hear other guests and their dogs during your stay. This wasn't great for my dogs as they were very agitated with all the noises. They would often would bark when we went off for breakfast, resulting in a complaint from another guest. Location isn't that great you will need to drive around 15mins to get into the city.

Quiet spacious room with view over green field, beds very comfortable. Busy restaurant with extensive menu, staff very friendly and willing to have conversations in English. Perfect location for stopover on our journey from Norway to England.

Hotel belongs to Van der Valk chain and e-mail communication seems to go through a central site. I had several e-mails from them in Dutch only and when I tried to ask for English translation I had no reply. It appeared the e-mails were about upgrading rooms etc. but I could not be sure I wasn't missing something. I also thought I had reserved a table for dinner but the hotel seemed to have no record of this. Everything was clean and tidy apart from some mould stains in the shower which should have had more attention from housekeeping. The wifi connection was not secure so we used our phones for internet.

Amazing surroundings, clean hotel, friendly staff. Tasty breakfast. Room was comfortable and pretty Nice bathroom with a large size tub that was fantastic at the end of the day.. Was able to store my motorcycle inside. That was a fine surprise.

If I had one thing to point out although almost irrelevant in our 1 night stay would be that the TV of the room could be better/ more modern with apps and connection to internet or to Chromecast. But again this is minimal.

Room was very nice, spacious and pleasant. Nice balcony, free parking (plenty of available spots), restaurant on site is also very nice, and has high quality food. Chargers available on site: - 150 kW (2 spots) - 11 kW (4 spots)

Wi-Fi was quite slow, wasn't informed there was a paid wi-fi option.

Great rooms. Everything was neat and clean and definitely met expectations. It was nice to have a bath in the bathroom as well. The restaurant was also very well kept with very friendly waiting staff. The experience was fantastic overall and in general a must-stay when compared to other hotels.

The bath and shower were a pleasant surprise when checking in. On booking.com it wasn't clear what to expect since the listing just said 'bath' or 'shower' and I think adding this would be a big bonus for some guests. The pictures didn't include the bathroom so it wasn't clear what you would get.

A nice modern hotel with guest rooms in a separate wing from reception, so very quiet. Nice views over the marshes and a place to sit outside the room in the open air. Good shower and comfy big bed.

It's great for anyone arriving by car. If you are not, it's a short walk to the bus station where buses depart for the centre of Groningen and the station. Reception staff helped us understand routes and tickets etc.

The location is very nice in a green area of Westerbroek, Groningen. It has a different set of hotel buildings than I am used to. This is meant in the absolutely best way possible. I particularly enjoyed walking the maze trying to find my room! The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good too. No hassles at all .

Quiet location out in the fields, next to a canal and big ships work station. Good and free parking. Nice bar and restaurant. Also friendly service and spacious rooms. Dog friendly!

Medium-delicious breakfast, with no mustard or ketchup available. Vending machine did finally not work anymore. ... But these are minor things, mainly all is fine.

Interior is beautiful…. I would expect a hotel like this to be way more expensive. Super clean. Great food. Flexible, helpful and friendly staff. We were on a late trip and the kitchen would have closed upon arrival. We ordered food in advance and because the restaurant was closed we had the food in our room. Highly recommend this hotel :)

Check-in and out went well. Bed was comfortable. Very modern and clean bathroom. Not a noisy hotel.

The cleaners were quite loud in the hallway during my second morning here. They were talking to eachother, each of them were busy in another room - my room was in between. This was before 9am. Breakfast scrambled eggs are dry - I would recommend making on the spot as the omelets. One spotlight was flickering the whole time - very annoying.
