A state-of-the-art hotel with excellent facilities. The cuisine is excellent, the food is delicious, whether you have breakfast or dinner. Crucially, the bed is comfortable. An unexpected surprise for us was that I received a "Guest of the Day" gift, which meant we received free wine with our dinner.

One drawback of the modern, glass architecture is its noisy nature. You can hear distinct and quite loud creaking sounds as the temperature outside changes. Furthermore, the hotel is running an aggressive marketing campaign to convince guests to install their mobile app. The numerous messages on all fronts, including WhatsApp and email, can irritate some guests.

The hotel is located inside a building designed by a famous architect. It really is comfy, with a nice large terrace going around it and an excellent restaurant. A few details make the difference in feeling cared for, like nice notes in the room, a postcard delivery system, a coffee machine for an early coffee. The bed is super comfy, and for the first time I found a bathtub long enough so that I could fit straight (I'm rather tall). Ah, and the room was a corner room, with a single huge window covering the two sides. Coupled with the beautiful weather we were blessed with, it was a top experience.

The location is the only obvious minus. It's a 25-min walk to the station, which means a 40-min wall from the central historical squares, but it's well connected by public transportation. The neighborhood seemed pretty quiet. There was a small misunderstanding with the staff for a drink in the terrace, but nothing major.

Leonardo Hotel was the best place to stay for our work trip. Their staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, their breakfast was good, but their lunch and dinner were amazing! It was our favorite restaurant in the city, and we did try a lot of them (I recommend the Thai Beef Salad). It is conveniently located in a quiet area and downtown is just 10 min away in bike, which I highly recommend to feel like a local! The staff was not only helpful, but they gave us tips to make our stay even better. I can't recommend this hotel enough the cost service ratio is insanely amazing, rooms were amazing, and we can't wait to be back next year!!

Room was excellent, as was the bar/restaurant- the food was marvelous!! The staff were lovely, proficient and friendly.

My only significant concern was that the room's safe was not actually attached to anything, just sitting in the wardrobe!!! There were only 2 other (very minor) negatives:- i) not being able to use cash at reception (but you could at the bar!!!?) ii) The distance from the centre. Though this was sorted once I worked out which busses went to/from the nearby bus stop.

The modern design, cleanliness, and friendly staff made the stay enjoyable. The hotel is well-located with good transport links to the city center. The check-in process was quick, the room was well-prepared, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant.

Would have appreciated slightly softer pillows, but that’s personal preference. A more diverse breakfast selection would have been a nice touch.

Good hotel near the highway. Great choice for Breakfast on a beautiful level to watch Groningen from above

The use of the garage is very expensive.

The room was nice, modern, two walls of windows, giving a good view out over the gardens and the city. The restaurant was definitely a cut above a standard hotel restaurant - the ribs were really good and there were some interesting local beers to try.

The hotel is 'upside down' - the reception is on the 3rd floor and the rooms are on the floors below. This gives the bar/restaurant a view, but I didn't like that I had to take the lift and not the stairs to access my room - it was only 1 floor and this is wasteful of energy.

Everything! Half hour, easy safe walk to City Centre. Great staff. All I heard them say to everyone, not just me, was "no problem".

Not really a negative. You get what you ask for, sustainability rationale, but whatever you ask for, you get. So you need to ask to get your room serviced, towels changed, etc. But it works when you understand their MO

Great staff, nice parking, good location. There are some great options you can book as extras which can make a stay more pleasant. Great on site restaurant with chefs that will accommodate allergies even on an event menu.

Unfortunately due to no fault of the hotel there are currently (2023) a lot of roadworks to major roads around the hotel. Beware of this when you book. Especially because they can impact walking distance as well as public transit.

I requested our two rooms together and we didn't get them until the 3rd day. A little bit messed up by the hotel staff. The A/C wasn't cooling at all in one of the rooms until they managed to change our room next to the other.
