The location was smack in the middle of Groningen on a canal. A bar next door and the garage a small walk away. The appartment was very sizable and modern in style. It would have been well equipped for a longer stay. The room was spottlessly clean. There was a charming view to well kept back yard city gardens from the room. It was close to the action in Groningen. Everything in walking distance.

As with many modern hotel rooms, the architect probably never used the toilet and shower himself. Stylish but impractical. Especially if you are a middle aged average size, average overweight person :-) Note that you may have to climb a lot of steps, so pack lightly if you are staying only 1-2 nights. Breakfast was a bit limited in variety. Coffee had to be ordered from the staff. I prefer coffee by the gallon in the morning, though ;-)

Stylish, spacious, spotless accommodation and very friendly, helpful service. The remodeling of the location I stayed had been finished just 2 months prior, so everything was still new, which was lovely and felt luxurious. Breakfast is served -with coffees made to order, including ones with plant based 'milk' for vegans who still like their 'latte' macchiatos- in the lovely café belonging to the property. Freshly baked (off) bread with a lovely crust and fresh fruit and a further variety of options made for an enjoyable breakfast.

I heard some banging of doors and stomping of feet on stairs when other guests returned at night; the stairwell was quite echo-y

We rented two rooms – one on the first floor and the other on the second. The experience was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were beautifully equipped with well-stocked kitchens, a coffee machine with capsules, tea, and even a few complimentary bottles of water. The location simply could not be better – right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything Groningen has to offer. The underground parking was very convenient and included several charging stations for electric vehicles. Access was seamless with a code sent to us via email the day before our arrival. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the reception staff. They were incredibly polite and friendly, going out of their way to show us to our rooms and share recommendations for the city’s main attractions. Their warm and welcoming attitude made our stay even more special. Without a doubt, we will continue to choose Miss Blanche for future visits.

The only minor drawback we encountered was the steep staircase, reminiscent of old Amsterdam houses. While it added charm to the experience, it might be challenging for guests with mobility or balance issues.

We interacted with 3 separate employees on different occasions and they were all extremely friendly and were always happy to assist. We received a free room upgrade which was a pleasant surprise! The location is amazing as it is close to the Grote Markt and is a 10 minute walk from the train station. The breakfast was in the next door restaurant and the coffee was great. Such a great stay and would not hesitate to book our stay there again!

It was a very comfortable room and had everything I needed. The bed and pillows were great, lovely fresh, crisp linens. Plenty of room just for me and a great position and outlook. There is a bar/cafe where you can opt for brekfast if you wish and it's very nice. I didn't have breakfast but went for a coffee and wished I had visited in the evening for a drink as it has canalside tables - very atmospheric. The website warned about noise and its right on a bridge so quite busy but it wasn't an issue for me (and ear plugs were thoughtfully provided).

Well the water pressure in the sink wasn't great - it was ok for cold but less so for hot which was the same with the shower. In an old building I guess that is always going to be an issue but I managed fine. Would have liked a slightly more ample towel for shower. I struggled to make sense of how the lights worked. Not sure if it was me or the lights! And be warned, as with all old dutch buildings the stairs are steep and narrow.

The penthouse apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated. It contained everything we needed and was very comfortable. The layout was a bit tricky with two small kids (2 and 5 years old) as the second bedroom is a loft up steep circular stairs, but the apartment also contained fold down bunk beds just outside the main bedroom. With older kids (6+) it would have been fantastic. Breakfast in the cafe next door was simple but lovely and great quality. Location was excellent, right next to the vismarkt.

The room temp was a bit cool at night, so we should have asked for some extra blankets. This didn’t affect our scoring though, as I’m sure the hotel would have been more than helpful had we asked.

Free Room Upgrade on Check In Lovely large room - suite Very comfortable bed Great helpful and friendly staff - including those in Cafe de Sigaar. Very nice contiental breakfast served in Cafe de Sigaar (well worth stopping for a coffee or beer) Nespresso Coffee Maker to get the mornings moving. Good rainforest style (plus hand held) shower and Molton & Brown shower gels. Been wanting to stay here for sometime and so glad that I now have and would do so again.

Nothing that I didn't like....more a suggestion that the room could do with a Hotel/Orientation Brochure/Folder outlining breakfast times, emergency procedures, contacts. Local amenties, things to do etc

Very comfortable, large bed, excellent location close to the city center. But above all, it was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who accommodated every single request I had (late check-in, an extra blanket, additional toiletries, help ordering a taxi). Not to mention that I forgot a personal item in the room, and they contacted me and offered to ship it to my address.

The room's decor was an assembly of some pieces of furniture that, in my view, didn't quite match, but I am not an interior design expert.

Gorgeous apartment in the executive suite. Massive lounge and great location with views over the canal. Staff were extremely kind and helpful 10/10.

The parking is about a 4minute walk from the hotel across cobbled stones in places. We couldn’t drive out the front to drop our bags (of which we had lots due to a long trip) so we had to carry them all the way to the apartment. The staff were so helpful though and kindly helped me with this. All in all a very nice hotel.

The apartment was beautiful, and very spacious to travel with kids. The kitchen was very handy. And their breakfast spread and timings were also very good and relaxed. It was also in the middle of the city, so - everything was just a stone's throw away.

Not really a big problem as the staff helped out - but they don't have an elevator. And the breakfast is in a restaurant next door - just a small complexity on days when it is raining.
