Nice hotel, self check in, space to make a small breakfast yourself. location is good if you need to be in the north, and even to Central it's only about 30 min walk.

the room was not that small, but the way it was put with the wooden structure you have a LOT of space to take off your shoes but no way to navigate around the bed and you need to crawl over each other. the bathroom opened directly to the bed and the doors didn't close even remotely, so if you're with 2 people there is no way to avoid the fumes // get a view of your partner doing their business. This was uncomfortable.

Every room is different and it was nice that it wasn't typical boring hotel room. Although in our room it was very difficult to close the toilet door properly. There were complimentary coffee, tea, shampoo and soaps in the room, which was a nice plus! There was some construction work going on in the building. Workmen started to drill 7:30 which was very annoying. We also had a probelm with electronic key, propably there was some momentary jam in the system. Host came to help us with it and after that probelm was fixed :)

Location, original design, calm though close to city centre, bus stops, shops and food nearby, common kitchen with clearly designated space for each room in food storage and refrigerator. Their new self check-in system with virtual 'keys' on your telephone works perfectly well.

Minor point: the shelves are a signature decorative element but only partly practical for storing. And it was a little dark in the room. Ceiling lamp insufficient but two other lamps made up for that..

The 'out-side-office-hours' check in went quite smooth, and even a breakfast was arranged for next day. That breakfast...was...just...a.m.a.z.i.n.g. The owner of the hotel prepares a real nice dutch breakfast and with that does not save in options. Additionally, he was very very nice and looked after everyone (was your coffee finished, he'd asked if you'd like another one). I.m.o. the locations is great. Just a bit out of the busyness, but close enough to walk to the city in under 10 mins. Plus a supermarket is at less the a minute walk (try the Surinamese sandwiches just sound the block)

Nothing really. Perhaps, and now it is hairsplitting, the shower curtain! The bed was quite small with open edges on all sides. Never a real fan of curtains. It would also have been nice to have a courtesy fridge; but then again, you can make yourself a cuppa on your room as coffee and tea are provided.

Comfortable, clean, and ideally located - close to the park and the city yet isolated, so it is quiet and not too busy.

Communication isn't the best. Off-service hours aren't clearly specified (Sunday) and no information regarding the check-in was personally given so there were difficulties checking in. Also, non-Dutch (or perhaps non-EU) numbers could not reach the hotel tel number. Something the guests have to be mindful about.

We've made a family trip to Groningen. We were delighted with the facilities, location and friendliness of the staff! The rooms are different and cosy. This is not a 5 star hotel but it met all of our needs and more. You can bring your own food as every room has a shelve in the communal fridge and there is a small kitchen also with delve,microwave and kettle. The place was quiet and only a 10min walk into the town centre. If you are looking for a friendly,comfortable and convenient place to stay in Groningen, i highly recommend Labnul50!

Our Bathroom was very small and literally in a box. The doors wouldn't close fully,so you would want to be pretty close to the person you are sharing the room with.

Artsy nice hotel with the little extra touch. Rooms nicely decorated and big, we had a room with four beds (one double and two single in bed cabinets). Had a lounge area in the room and also a bigger table and chairs for eating. Plus for the Nespresso machine and capsules in the room. Shared two toilets and showers with one other room only. Was clean and had everything you needed. We didnt use the terrace since it was rainy but it had a lovely outdoor terrace in the yard. Good location, close to city center. Parking garage next to the hotel aswell as a supermarket.

Very unique and artsy property. Clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming.

A miscommunication about checkout time-I needed to leave at 7am and was told that I would be able to do that no problem. Unfortunately no one was there at 7am and I missed my train waiting until 8am for the cafe to open and a staff person available for me to check out.

we liked how close it was to the centre, it was only 15 minute walk to De Grote Markt. There was a shared fridge, which was great t oput your stuff in. There was a cute common area and a cosy garden.

It was not the most spacious room, the placement of the watercooker was a bit unfortunate, there was no space to hang your clothes, you could only fold them.

This was our favourite place to stay during our trip in the Netherlands. Groningen has a nice vibe to it and we were pleasantly surprised at Labnul50 and how arty and interesting it is. Our room was very interesting and we found it amazing how creatively it was decorated. The bed was absolutely amazing!! If the shower curtain was a shower door, it would have been the perfect shower! It was small, but comfortable enough for two people and we didn't have space issues. Very clean and neat, we would stay here again.

The check-in process was a bit tricky, as on weekends after 12pm there are no people around to assist and we had to phone a number to check-in. Unfortunately, as we are from South Africa, we only had a data SIM and not one that could do actual phone calls, and they did not answer a WhatsApp call either. Luckily for us, a very kind gentleman who rents some studio space at Labnul50, happened to walk by and gave his phone to us to make the call to check in. I did not ask his name but he says every now and then he receives an espresso on the house from the restaurant and this was his way of paying it forward, I was very touched to hear the generosity from both parties. It all worked out well for us, but just thought I would mention this process.
