The suites have convenient facilities,Comfy AC, shower, bedding, kitchenette etc, good location and prompt communication, only 15 min away from Lake Tekapo, owner is lovely to let us check in and left luggage earlier than 3:00pm.
We are four people travelling in total, one suite is enough which comes with two bedrooms, one room has a big double bed and other one has two single beds, however the system forced me to pay two suites which we ended up as four bedrooms and six double beds, waste of money and description werent clear, please check in advance to avoid wasting money.

The accommodation was amazing! It was so unexpected to get instead of the "room" on booking nice spacious cottage. There were not only full-equipped kitchen, bathroom and two bedroom but also a great living room with so cool and comfortable reclining chairs (exactly like in "Friends" series) and sofa and TV and table football. We were really sad that we have only one night to stay there :( Nice souvenir shop across the road, some sheep and a cat on the backyard are the bonuses. And great thanks from our cat for allowing to stay with him (he loved the chairs too)

They offer 3 self contained units that have all that you need to make your own breakfast and dinner. Megan and Phil are now offering a pre-ordered dinner that they will have waiting in your cottage upon arrival, which is a great service, as there is nowhere to purchase anything in Burke’s Pass. The communication was very professional in letting us know to pick up anything we needed in Lake Tekapo. Megan greeted us upon arrival and walked us to our cabin and went over everything with us, so that we would get the most out of our stay. We then got to feed the sheep and chickens, which was different for this city girl. They even followed up with an email thanking us for visiting them. Just a delightful stay.

Clean tidy and had all the amenities, especially the pressure of the shower. The bed was comfortable, and the rooms were warm and cozy. Laundry facilities are excellent. Host and daughter add the professional touch. Go to motel when visiting. 2 thumbs up 👍 👌 plus the vintage place across the road must see. Ps, what's your secret of a clean shower glass? No scum to be seen at all.
Close to the road traffic from trucks 🚚 but that can't be helped. It hasn't put me off coming back. You guys rock !!

Loved this quaint country motel studio. Owners were amazing and we had use of their own backyard complete with sheep and chickens for happy hour Room was super comfy with fantastic bed and we took up the meal options which were amazing They even do a barista coffee in the morning and have some drinks and snacks for sale in reception Buries Pass is a cute little village only 20 min from Fairlie on one side and Lake Tekepo on the other where you can get supplies before you stay
Nothing it was fantastic

This was a hidden gem! Just off the main highway, this property may be overlooked as the Vintage yard opposite catches your eye. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The unit was clean and well stocked. We had a little veranda that looked over the smallholding beyond. Parking was right beside the unit. There is a quaint charm about the property with beautiful flower borders along the drive. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay again without hesitation.

I loved the location in particular. Away from the Hustle and Bustle of Tekapo I just wanted a bed for the night on my way from my work appointments in Christchurch home to Bluff. I stopped at Burkes Pass before on my way through and noticed the Motel and thought that would be a great place to stop. I am a keen photographer and staying a night in a Dark Sky Reserve is brilliant too (even though on my stay it was cloudy). The room was perfect for my needs. Very clean and fun to watch the cat outside... It had a microwave and a kettle and even a heater and electric blanket (it did get cold overnight even though it was summer). Also, Burkes Pass itself is very interesting from a historical perspective and the self guided walk around the settlement (grab a map at the old church) is well worth it!
Can't think of anything.

Burkes Pass Country Motel was out of the business of the Tekapo township, surrounded by farmlands, it was a quaint and cosy. The owners are beyond lovely, while the sheep and chickens add to the calm, restful atmosphere. The rooms have all you might need, excellent shower water pressure and a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy with a coffee/tea. It was an authentic New Zealand stay, true to our culture of warmth and simplicity.
We wish we booked to stay more than one night!

the location (very convenient right off hwy 8 and across street from local cafe), above and beyond hospitality, the cleanliness of rooms with ultra comfy beds and duvet covers, heater inside the bathroom to keep you toasty post-shower, mini kitchenette equipped with everything you could need to prep your own meals, and adorable lambs in the backyard. it's also perfectly located for stargazing (Dark Sky Proj) and quick day trip to Lake Tekapo/ Mt Cook/ Aoraki. There are just 3 units so it books out fast! We got a double bedroom (1 queen, 2 twins), plenty of space for a family of 4 and more than enough for just the two of us. The owners are simply superb, exceeding expectations to ensure your stay is comfy. You can tell in all the little added details in the room: mints, fresh flowers, absolute spotless stainless steel shower flooring, etc etc. We're glad to have found this gem and will definitely stay longer next time!
nothing at all - wish we could've stayed longer!

We loved the spacious apartment/motel rooms, everything was clean and in good shape, kitchen had everything we needed. Place is probably great to see the stars as well and just a short driving distance from Lake Tekapo. Everyone there was lovely and accommodating and we even got to hand feed the pet lambs and sheep that lived on the property and had a great chat. The dogs and cat were friendly and cuddly as well. For everyone who wants to stay in the Lake Tekapo area and loves animals this is a unique and great value for money stay!
Loved everything :)
