What a wonderful homely farm homestead you have 🐄🐮🐑🦙. 22minutes out of Hamilton. Owner friendly and helpful. Loved having Bobbie visit in the Morning along with his friends. Lovely having Cereal,Toast,milk,biscuits and preserves available. The unit had everything you would need with modern appliances. Also loved seeing the Cows walking past going off to be milked and also seeing the big Bull and sheep on the property. You could hardly hear the traffic its very quiet.. Bed was very comfortable also.. Aircon was great we had a lovely warm stay and the shower pressure was AMAZING. I would love to stay again.

Beautiful views of the country side, very convenient location to Cambridge, very accessible to Hobbiton, friendly staff, and amazing animals in a quaint property. We loved being able to interact with some of the local animals on property. The owner were very kind to encourage some of the Alpacas to interact with us and we had a blast.

Don’t expect any resort style stay, but the rooms were very doable and clean! It can be easy to miss the exit right off the highway and you do have to get out of the car to manually open the gate but we found that it added to our fun quirky experience.

The location of the property on the State Highway meant we didn't have to detour off the highway too far, before continuing our journey the next day. Found out that since the median barriers have been installed, you have to go about 2.5 kms before you can turn around to go back to Cambridge - for dinner or whatever. The llamas are a treat to watch, although none of them really wanted to interact.

The road noise is quite something, but once the doors and windows are closed it's not noticeable. The place could be cleaner - the bedside lights, and the shower, particularly.

It was a delightful experience to wake up to a beautiful scenery surrounded by alpacas and other farm animals. We had a fun time feeding and interacting with the alpacas. There are sheep and birds and also cows strolling nearby. Waking up to fresh air and beautiful sunrise is wonderful. The amenities are clean and decent. There are fruit trees like avocados, oranges, lemons and grapefruit. The owner is very friendly and hospitable.

I loved waking in the morning and watching the alpacas munching away in the rear garden as I drank my morning coffee. You can't hear the highway while in the cabin.

When travelling on the highway, you can miss the turn-off as you are travelling quite fast, and then you'll need to "do the loop". The closest place to turn around is about 1.3km down the road, do a u-turn and go past taking the turn off to Cambridge. The whole loop is about 5km all up.

I stayed in the studio room. Location was great. The accommodation was clean.

I found it hard to find the location on Google maps . Perhaps a bigger sign for the Property would be great as you have traffic going Over 100klm.. And to stop almost in front of cars Coming up the rear is very dangerous. I was travelling by myself.

Loved the location, bed was super comfortable, room was very clean. Loved seeing the animals around the garden. Host met us upon arrival to check in, and was nice and friendly.

Outdoor seating / table area could have been nicer to sit outside and have breakfast, TV was quite old and didn't have features like netflix, and wifi didn't really work.

Suite was nicely organised - we had big bed, seating area and separate space with kitchinette. Some food was provided. The view to farmland, greenery and animals outside. My kid could feed and pet alpaca :) Location is close to Cambridge and 20min to Hobbiton.

Entrance from a road a bit chellenging, easy to miss on high speed. Location on google is correct but you need to watch really carefully.

Getting to the property, I got off at the wrong turn off which lead me to do a u turn to get back on track. The property is on the main highway not the turn off next to it. Wifi wasn’t connecting properly it kept cutting out or not connecting at all.

The room was lovely and comfortable. We only stayed overnight. Quiet property with lamas wandering around the yard. We chose it since it was just a short drive to Hobbiton and we had booked the first Hobbiton tour at 8:20am. It was a much better option than the rooms that were available in Matamata. Wish we had time to stay longer.
