The room was lovely and clean, bed was super comfortable. I arrived late after a long day driving and the room was ready for me and heating turned on. I felt very welcome.

We arrived late and left early, so never actually got to meet the hosts, however my dealings with them on booking were very good and they were very helpful with allowing us to bring our dogs, and happily arranged a late check-in. The rooms are well-constructed and very sound-proof. The bathroom was roomy with a good shower. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. The hosts had kindly turned the heater on for us, so the room was lovely and warm when we arrived on a cold night.

The TV is set up for streaming, but I struggled to find any Sky channels, but this maybe because I was looking in the wrong place.

I liked having my own carpark. I liked the super big shower. I liked being only 5 minutes from my Xmas celebrations.

I didn't like someone's car in my allotted carpark. I didn't like the main road and trying to drive in. It's all about how much of a good driver I am, not the nice motel. I backed into the no exit sign. The parking was on a curving downslope.

How could I fault this place? Receptionist warm and friendly, helpful. Room including ktchen area and bathroom was spacious, clean. Serviced daily. The bed soooo comfortable. Within walking distance to town. Well worth the price.

The room I had was next to the main road and it was a little noisy but once asleep, no problem.

A great place to stop for a few nights for us to visit with local family. Excellent location. Surprisingly quiet despite being on a major road. Lovely and clean rooms. Would happily recommend to others. We will be staying again!

We just found the main bed (room 4) was a bit soft for more than one person. Apart from a suggestion to consider having a firmer mattress on the bed, the rest of the place and experience was excellent.

Staff were amazing! I could not fault them for anything. They made us feel welcomed and accommodated everything and more.

Can not fault the place - would recommend and return to stay again.

Clean, comfortable with great shower! Close to town, even though was on a busy road, minimal vehicle noise was noted in the room.

Limited parking in the room we were allocated. Found ourselves having to do a 3 point turn to get out, due to car being parked horizontally down the driveway.

Friendly staff, lovely and clean, disability room spacious with great bathroom facilities. We could also take our dog which is great. Concrete ramp up to door for easy access. Close to town. Had yummy fish and chips from town and a great meal ftom the redoubt bar and eatery. Highly recommend Matariki motor lodge.

Car park for our unit was numbered however a car park adjacent to ours it did not have a painted out line. This resulted in not being able to park our car correctly tending to block motel driveway outlet.
