Very high level of cleanliness, unit was well insulated and maintained warmth. With it being the accessible unit the placement of the unit in the complex layout was great (the units are on the side of hill but this unit was at the top of the hill and was was level between the place we parked and entry of the unit).

I know the bed is designed for those who need assistance getting in and out of, but the other side of the bed was very close to the wall - that gap was probably only 40cm from the bed to the wall which meant the person on that side of the bed had to side step to get in and out of the bed. A table (not just the coffee table) would have been nice where we could sit and eat - room facilities were just a kitchenette but when we brought our meals it would have been nice to have a place to sit at eat at.

The price is worth the stay. Cosy and very kid friendly (not much they can break!)- there are little things like the taps are either hot or cold, not a blend (therefore too hot or too cold), but thankfully it is only for the toilet tap/kitchen tap...there was no such problem with the shower which is great! The kitchen has all the basics you will need (plates, cutlery) including an oven.! The staff was friendly too....I would highly recommend especially if you have young kids (ours are 3 and 6 years) and want something cosy at a decent price. Close to city centre and grocery shops by car.

The owner/host is such a lovely lady. From the moment we spoke on the phone I felt her warmth, beautiful heart and soul and just a friendly special lady. Thank you for being that person, and I'm so so sorry but I forgot your name.

That we couldn't take advantage of the pool and spa as my whaanau and I has left Auckland straight after mahi to go to my cousins tangi/funeral at Te Kauae Marae the next day. And we didn't have time to take photos ;( Next time!!!!!

Location was quiet and central to our needs with a semi rural theme which was cool. Super friendly welcoming, host and the house-keeper was lovely, made the stay worth it. Room and bathroom were outdated but exceptionally clean . Nice comfy bed. An added bonus was to be able to bring my housetrained dog along. I’d highly recommend.

It was hard to keep the room warm, even with the heat pump going. Outdated room and need a bigger TV with Sky.

The price and location. The manager was very friendly. It's nice and clean.

I like to cook to cut down on costs... the knife was blunt and bendy and there were no peelers. Just minor stuff. And bring your own shampoo/soap etc. The pool at the motel was a bit murky but the local pools, Otorohanga and Te Kuiti were awesome.

The room was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space with a table to dine at, a sofa to sit on and watch tv, a separate room with a double bed, a great little kitchen and two single beds. Perfect for a family. Close to the caves and the conveniences of Otorohanga. Air-conditioned and quiet. The lady who ran this motel was absolutely wonderful. She was so friendly and helpful we ended up feeling like family rather than guests. Big hugs all round when we left.

The couple's room was great. Margaret was wonderful. Nothing too much trouble. Good location to town. Old NZ type Motel but comfortable and very clean. Small balcony out back where we sat in the sun before going to dinner in town.

The 2 single-bed room was very small and allowed not much space for an adult, clearly geared for a family with children. My brother is partly disabled so a little more difficult for him getting up in the night.

Location worked really well for us. The unit was back from the road so very quiet. Layout inside unit great. Access to pool and spa excellent. Friendliness and professional staff made us feel at home.

Unfortunately, TV was not working . Really appreciated staff trying to fix and the offer of another unit.

The room was very well kept, nicely cleaned and smelt lovely. The bed was very comfy and had a great sleep. Our favourite thing was definitely the receptionist Margaret!! What a beautiful woman!! She was so kind and lovely and genuinely the nicest person ever!

The parking by the rooms was a bit squishy especially when some guests parked in weird spots. The farmland and road was a little loud but nothing too bad

Location is excellent for the local attractions like the Kiwi House and the Caves. Very clean and restful with sheep singing you to sleep each night. Good amenities. Very good price last minute. (Big apartment)

For the price do not expect the Ritz, but the good far outweighs any bad.
