You can not fault the customer service. The gentlemen told us all the local information that even had us hiking at sunset to see glow worms. The room is clean and basic in a tourist hotspot. I think it represents good value for money. Wifi is great. Has a pool for the kids. Room is clean with a small kitchenette and bathroom has great water pressure. Bed was comfy. The locations was great for the caves without staying at the caves.

It is an older motel but the price reflects this.

Chris was an awesome host, we loved the unit, clean tidy and comfortable.

Leaving

Very homely, comfortable, old-fashioned motel located just off the main road. Easy to find and check in. Comfy bed, decent kitchentte, warm and cosy. Very helpful manager with good local advice. There's a pool on site but I didn't have time to try it out.

It's not far from SH3, so you hear the odd truck. But in the scheme of things that's fine and I'd be glad to stay here again.

Loved everything about it, clean inside and perfectly designed with a toilet separate to shower, fully equipped kitchen, large window with a view into the garden, super comfortable beds, the heating worked well; the host was very helpful and knowledgeable of other attractions. Definitely come back and stay longer next time.

Great location, comfortable beds, very clean. The owner was very helpful and gave us lots of great information on the best things to do in the area during our stay, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also checked in on us to make sure we were ok. Would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you for making our stay perfect.

It had everything we needed and was close to several attractions we wanted to visit, so was ideal for us. The owners were lovely and friendly and gave us helpful information. The fan in the room was very welcome on the hot nights.

The motel is close to the SH so there is some traffic noise all night.

Kids loved the pool. The location was great for what we traveled for.

The rooms can get quite hot without any air conditioning, there were fans which helped though, would suggest getting air con put in, and we did find a lot of geckos in the room after returning from our days away

Chris was amazing. The car broke down outside Te Kuiti. I called him mentioned that the car will be towed to Te Kuiti late in the evening. He offered to pick me up. However I did get a rental and the manager said he would wait till I got there. At the motel he was of great help and I am indebted to him. I am grateful to the good souls of King Country

All was good

We were pleasantly surprised. The place is rough around the edges externally. Could do with a spruce up and perhaps a garden, so we didn't have a high expectations for our room. We were in the family room and we really liked it. We enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money. It was tidy, clean with plenty of beds. The beds were comfortable. Not too soft. The man who checked us in (the owner perhaps?) was super helpful and gave some great advice. It was awesome to have free wifi too. We could park right outside our room as well. There is traffic noise but that didn't bother us.

We had difficulty locating the office because the sign was being consumed by plants. It didn't help that when we drove into the motel you have a choice of driving left or right. We went left. Had we gone right then we would have likely seen the sign. A little guidance at the entrance would have been useful. Some of the furnishings in the room could be upgraded, mainly the sofa. It was the hardest sofa I had ever sat on.

The staff were wonderful. We had planned to give Glow Worm Caves a miss even though we stayed at Waitomo, cos our little one was scared of caves and didn't wanna waste money. The front desk manager gave us directions to a bushwalk where you could see worms for free. It was one of the most exceptional sights we've seen!!
