This suite was our favourite stay during our month long road trip around NZ. The accomodation was in a separate building and very private and comfortable. Our hosts were lovely and very welcoming, our room contained extras we never would have expected (like jam and juice) and were soooo appreciated. Lovely pets and gardens in a wonderful rural setting.

The location was both a plus and a minus - we loved the area and the seclusion but driving the rural roads at night was a little tense at times for us not used to driving on the left side of winding hilly roads with no shoulders (braking for possoms).

If you’d like a wee breakaway from the kids or have a wedding to go to at Te Miro Woolshed this is the place to just relax in, soak up the amazing garden, with that “home away from home” feeling 🧡 The hospitality was top tier amazing, we checked in the afternoon and went out and came back quite late and our hosts greeted us in the driveway, we came back to our room heated, electric blankets on, just a lovely toasty setup for us to settle for night, AH-Mazing. The breakfast was amazing, different types of homemade spreads, my favourite was the Quinche Jelly 😮‍💨 we used some of the homemade jams and relish for our spread before th wedding, delicious ! As for our hosts, thank you so much for having us, we wish we stayed longer, such beautiful people, with the coolest life stories!! very welcoming we would definitely be back again, stay a bit so Judy can share her homemade spread recipes 😋 yummmm

That we didnt stay long enough 😔

Our own small house (studio) in a corner of the beautiful garden. The house was well furnished and equipped, and very clean. The details of the house were well thought out so that the space was well utilized. Access to garden furniture and grill. We loved the 2 dogs, the 3 cats and the chickens. The included breakfast was excellent with homemade bread and ditto jams. The host couple is very kind and accommodating. We received useful tips and information. We spent four nights but could easily have stayed longer.

We had a relaxing weekend and we loved the peace and quiet, we were going to the caravan show at mystery creek. Judy and Chris were wonderful host's and the facilities were everything we needed for the weekend. The continental breakfast choices gave us a wide choice. But the best was Judy's home made jam and marmalade. They evoked memories of my Nana and childhood in the UK. Comfortable bed and heating kept us warm on this very wet weekend.

Nothing really to dislike 😊 But for reference it's 20 minutes to Cambridge so if you wanted to go out to eat remember this. I know the area so I was prepared and brought our food and used the microwave and we ate at the show Sunday.. It's rural so internet will not be like in the city. The TV has Freeview and the weather probably had something to do with the lag on Saturday evening (it poured down). As it was ok sunday.

Hosts were obliging and helpful with daily servicing of unit and cleaning of cutlery/plates as well as fresh fruit (in season) provided. Hosts supplied home made chutneys and jams from own produce, tasty and enjoyed by us. Bathroom & shower were OK. Fridge was suitable with fresh suppies of milk & juice.

Location fine for rural getaway or stay, trip into Cambridge (25 min) or Karapiro (30 min) each way via either end of Brunskill was winding and not so good for queasy travellers. Bed mattress was a bit soft for our opinion. Kitchen bench very restricted once dishes were used.

It is lovely little cottage and owners are lovely people, they had this amazing range of homemade jams and chutneys, juice & milk, and all brekkie cereals. Lovely tidy place and amazing garden you can walk trough. We forgot the tie 👔 and owner borough us his. That was lovely. Really clean and well equipped. Also quiet and peaceful

That we couldn't stay longer

We were welcomed home by Judy and Chris upon our arrival, this really is serene and quiet, a beautiful, quiet, wonderful home away from home. We spent a total of three nights there and were genuinely sad to leave. If you are in the area please look them up.

Loved the hospitality...Judy and Chris were wonderful hosts...we had a relaxing time ...the surroundings peaceful lovely home...everything was provided nothing was missing...would recommend it to anyone that wants to get away for a quiet time

The time was short....and the weather wasn't that good to do more

Lovely hosts, chatted to them for ages and learnt all about the best restaurants close by. Great little room. Perfect for visiting Hobbiton! The place was clean and tidy, and there was a lovely selection of cereal and bread for us which was great, so we saved money on breakfast!

No wifi so if you have any work to do just be aware there is not much connection. Also a reminder to let the hosts know when you want to have a shower so you get lovely warm water - we didn't realise and the shower was cold (Our fault though we should have asked).

Location is quite remote so a satnav is essential. Serenity is an apt name as it was very peaceful. We didn't realise how many little things were provided until we looked in the cupboards.Home produce was a bonus. Hostess Judy was keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay and had all we needed.
