Wonderful staff and a handy location. The rooms were clean and basic.

There was no soap for the handbasin. Instead, you had to lean into the shower and get soap from the dispenser in the corner. Very sparse room with just one plug in which to charge 2 phones. Could not operate the fan as the fan was mounted up high with no was of reaching the buttons.

We didn’t have breakfast there was out of our budget, the location I was awesome wasn’t far away from where our children were, was close to countdown too so that was a bonus, met some good people there too.

Everything was good but the beds were little uncomfortable for myself.

Location was wonderful, staff were amazing! Food at drinks great at the pub downstairs. Room was comfortable and clean!

Only issue we had was not having an A/C and one little Pedestal fan but honestly was not an issue for the night we stayed with windows open was very comfortable

Perfect location. Right opposite Woolworths supermarket. 3-minute walk from bus stop & Matamata iSite. In between 2 beautiful parks.

Karaoke/open mic night on Thursday. Can get a bit too loud. But they stop by midnight so it’s not too bad. Pantry facilities super basic.

Location great for getting to Hobbiton movie set early the next day. Room and ensuite clean. Comfortable bed. Lovely meal in restaurant.

Slightly noisy but we were aware that this could be the case.

It was easy to find the hostel and there is a DJ on Friday and Saturday’s nights ! I find that very cool.

It was a « king room » but the bed wasn’t a king size, and it miss a little bed table for the other side of the bed.

Great location and friendly staff. Old pub, old facilities but comfortable and clean.

Obviously Sat night little noisy but nothing we didn't expect or couldn't handle

There was nothing wrong, in my opinion

it is perfectly located to be near to everything I needed. staff are super friendly, handy parking and rooms clean. even a little kitchen to use if needed and a place to store my bike

I liked everything to be honest, nothing I needed was missing so for the money it was spot on

The room was nice but the carpets need a cleaning.

Bathrooms need an up date or change of shower head. They waste way too much water with the current showerheads. I come off a farm so we are used to a spray not something that knocks you into the next room. lol.
