Great stay at the Villa! Fresh breakfast each morning, coffee, great muesli, a bit of conversation each morning... When you're travelling the little things make a real difference! Room was very comfortable and warm. A few treats were a very nice surprise. Great views of the old dairies. Anything you needed, it wasn't a problem. Very welcoming and if you're wanting a bed and breakfast with a comfortable and homely feel, than look no further.

This is a gem of a b&b. Kay is without a doubt the most wonderful host. Her house is beautiful, situated in a lovely part of the world. Her attention to detail is magnificent from the freshly baked slice in the room to the complimentary cheese platter, bottle of wine and other goodies. She gave us great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Don't get me started on breakfast - freshly home baked bread in a cozy kitchen with delightful conversation. If only every b&b could be at this standard! Loved, loved, loved it.

Our first night in NZ was fabulous, setting the bar high indeed. Kaye's Victorian villa is as advertised, and more. Our room seems fully restored but is surely original as well. We looked east out onto a lovely brick patio with birdsong aplenty. Kaye's hospitality is even better - our light dinner and cook to order breakfast were both lovely. As were our little chats. Kaye is a relaxed, conscientious and attentive host.

We had a wonderful stay at Maungakawa Villa. The room was so comfortable with tea and coffee facilities plus homemade goodies. Proximity to central Cambridge and surrounds was perfect. The breakfasts were delicious. Kay was the best host ever1

The location, room and facilities were lovely. The warm welcome from the host was also lovely. Our room was located in an annexe to the side of the main house. Kaye is a truly lovely and welcoming person and this felt more like staying with family. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house, exceptionally caring landlady. Discrete entrance to the room. Beautiful garden with sculptures scattered around. Absolutely tasty breakfast, with a wide selection of cheese and pastries. Just outside Cambridge, just 5 minutes drive from city center.

The heating system is not the best one. In winter time could be quite challenging to stay. High prices due to the NZ Fieldays.

Perfect location for checking out Cambridge and getting to and from the rowing at Karapiro. The host was amazing , really friendly and engaging and the property is comfortable and had everything we could have needed.

The house is beautiful and set in the rolling hills outside of Cambridge. Our hosts were even better. From the moment we arrived we were treated as honored guests. They hit the balance between attentive and relaxed.

Hard to say. It was exactly what we needed and we wished we could have stayed longer.

beautiful yet quirky villa. absolutely fabulous property to stay at with very welcoming hosts. This was a gem of a place to stay and recharge before the drive back to Auckland. we made full use of the complimentary wine and cheese and enjoyed a dip in the hot tub before bed. the whole place is beautifully designed and filled with arts and ornaments. it was our pleasure to stay here. breakfast was delicious thank you so much xx

We loved the fact is was so unlike anything like our American friends had ever been to before. It was quiet and peaceful and Kay is a wonderful host.
