Lovely peaceful location in the middle of the tiny village of Haast. The room was large, spotlessly clean & beautifully presented. We did not use the kitchen facilities (other than for breakfast) but it was superbly equipped had we wanted to do so. (n.b. there is only one eatery in town so coming ready to self-cater might be worth considering - and it woukd be very easy to do). The local supermarket is surprisingly well stocked fir such a small place.

Nothing other than the very restricted choice for eating out (not the motel's fault!).

I needed a quiet place to stay at to break up the long drive up the West Coast, and this hotel delivered exactly that. The receptionist was very friendly and informative, and our room was clean and spacious.

The blankets and pillows did not have the cleanest smell to them.

Excellent quality rooms, up to date facilities, nicely appointed, spacious. Particularly liked that the window had a fly screen so you could keep it open and not have mosquitos or sandflies coming in..Haast is know for sandflies. Quiet area with nice garden outlook too. Plus the building well insulated as couldn’t hear anything from the people staying in the rooms on either side.

Haast is a small town and the motel is located on the outskirts to town, a few minutes drive into the centre. Check-in was straightforward. The unit had a undercover car-parking the room was basic but clean and comfortable, cooking facilities were adequate My stay was for 1 night only as a pass through place on an Island tour staff were very helpful and immediately responded to any concerns

Nothing to dislike

One of the better motels we've been in in New Zealand - everything was in the right place, check-in was good, beds were ok, room was clean.

Nothing much really - the motel was good already. For an exceptional experience something should be done to separate this motel from many other similar ones in New Zealand as right now it doesn't really stand out in any way.

Slight smell when entering and maybe in the bed area. Perhaps needs a freshen up but by no means do I meant it wasn’t clean.

Haast is a very small township and this motel was close to the small number of shops. The unit was tidy; some aspects could be renovated. It had all the facilities we needed however. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

For our overnight stay this was everything that we needed.

Great little spot in Haast, clean and well attended to with good parking right outside your door. It’s an older motel but I liked it, especially the view from my outdoor lounge. Easy walk to nearby restaurant too.

Very friendly welcome and a comfortable room. The presentation was slightly dated but this did not detract from the comfort and enjoyment of the suite booked. Very friendly welcome after a long drive was much appreciated.

Haast is a small rural community and as such facilities are limited. So go with the flow. Some things in local eateries were good some not so good but that is what is expected.

Good parking and WiFi and a convenient location

The bed was very hard and unfortunately, we had a group playing music and talking and shouting from when they returned from the local hostilery at 12:30am through to 4am keeping us awake
