Upon checking in, although we booked the standard room, we didn’t realise just how cosy the room was. We were struggling connecting to the wifi so we went to reception and received assistance for that, but curiously asked if there were any room upgrades available. The manger on duty went above and beyond and secured us an incredible room upgrade for our entire duration for a small cost which we were happy to pay. We upgraded to the one bedroom villa and it was honestly perfect for us. We honestly were so appreciative of the staff and incredibly happy with our villa while we stayed.

When we arrived at Peppers Bluewater Resort we were tired after a long car trip and arrived late afternoon. The reception staff were very welcoming and we were delighted and very grateful to receive an upgrade to our room, which had been thoughtfully assigned close to reception, as we were staying only one night, which made moving our bags and settling in much more palatable on a cold night. I believe this was a deliberate and welcome consideration of the staff. The room had a lovely view of the lake, was very clean, warm and well apportioned. We had booked a meal in the restaurant and were served delicious food politely and efficiently. There was a little confusion with a message which had been sent from the resort regarding the menu being offered for dinner that night. When I questioned the expected option not being available the Manager immediately came to answer my query and explained in a very friendly and respectful manner. Upon settling the bill we discovered that part of our costs has been taken care of due to the confusion. Again, another considerate move on the behalf of management. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Peppers again.

There was nothing that I didn't like about this resort.

Peppers resort was easy to find as you can see it as you approach the Tekapo township from the south. The resort was only a short walk from the centre of the tiny town of Tekapo. The resort was very nicely laid out. In our apartment the bedrooms and bathroom were downstairs and upstairs there was a kitchen and a huge lounge with a view. Our friends from UK were particularly impressed by our apartment in Tekapo. The lake was just across the road from Peppers, with the Dark Sky project building nearby.

It would have been nice if the apartment had had two bathrooms or an extra toilet, but nothing else.

The ceiling above the shower had several large patches of black mould I was kept awake the first night by the noise from a machine that seemed to be directly outside my room (a heat pump perhaps?) The portions at dinner were rather small - I'd recommend ordering extra sides

We had an incredible stay at Peppers Bluewater Resort! The breathtaking views of the snowy mountains and Lake Tekapo were absolutely stunning. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and came with all the convenient amenities we needed, paired with top-quality service that made the experience even more enjoyable. We were just passing through for a night and decided to stay here, and we couldn’t have been luckier, we were upgraded to a much larger room with a beautiful balcony view, which was such a lovely surprise!

The dual apartment / townhouse was large enough for our 6 person family and was reasonably well appointed. The location was great and only a 1 minute walk to the main strip.

Our first night it got pretty cold as we did not have the heaters up fully - there was a lot of cold air leakage into the apartments through the doors and windows. one air con was missing a remote. The ironing board cover was mouldy. The "lake view" which we opted for was sub-standard with the view mostly impeded by the shops/restaurants.

We had a problem with our smoke alarm in our room and I have to say that the reception staff who came at 11 o’clock at night were wonderful. They couldn’t sort out the smoke alarm problem so they moved us to a room a big upgrade and we were very grateful. They also offered this complimentary breakfast and late check out. They couldn’t have been more helpful and I must thank the lady that looked after us she was great.

We liked the property. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about it.

This apartments hotel is very spacious, quiet and clean. Location is perfect lake front and close to shopping center of lake tekapo

2 things i didnt like about this accommodation: 1. They didn’t indicted that majority of the apartments require climbing many stairs. Mine was on 3rd floor and was very hard for me and other guests to climb up with suitcases 2. The staff wasn’t so helpful . I came to checkin on 1 pm they requested me to come back on 2 since early checkin wasnt possible. I came back on 2:30 pm and the room wasn’t ready. I waited for additional 30 min with other guest till we got the rooms

Where we we're located. Parking was close to room. Great kitchen to cook in. Loved the rubbish and recycling bin. Hest pump in top fllor aand bedroom. We found we didnt need them as the room was a great temperature. Peaceful.Entertaining top floor. Bedroom on lower floor.Bath. Loved the fact that windows or sliding door on all walls so could keep an eye on your car, lovely outlook across the park from kitchen, small window showing footpath in front off all units separate from parking, ranch slider had a vertical long window that opened to a deck with fantastic view of part of the lake and lake front shops pubs etc. Didnt hear a thing with ranch slider closed. And faced away from easterlies so quite sheltered.. All this on the top floor. Small desk, lounge, dining, kitchen. Lower floor bedroom, bathroom, door in and out of unit via your hallway. Windows don't get condensation and quiet so assumed double glazed. Mobile phones were kept updated with events and latest info on the restaurant etc. Bathroom robes felt soft and cosy.

Unable to find a docking station. Take your adapter. (We always do). Wall plugs were awkward behind bed side tables. No nets in downstairs room. Just drapes. Awkward as the room was on the ground level, a pathway was next to the side of our building which is not obvious as it is not concreted like all other paths in the complex.. But this guy walked down the side of our unit and stopped off to the side and appeared to be having a smoke as he was near our room, it felt intrusive. Had he looked at our room, he would have seen in. If this walking area was not supposed to be used, then maybe a gate should be between the fence and attached to the wall on our unit. Be great of there was a TV in our bedroom.

We stayed one night at the property - we arrived at the Lake mid afternoon on a sunny day so decided to do some hiking around the areas before the sunset and then check-in. Checked in after dark in winter c6pm. The initial check-in experience was not the best as were were given the wrong room. Staff were prompt to remedy that and upgraded our stay to a lovely suite for the night. The room was adequate - bit outdated but sufficed our stay for the evening. Staff were all friendly, you can get takeaway coffee from the cafe downstairs for the morning if you are not the breakfast type. There is onsite parking which is really useful. The drawcard for the property is it's brilliant location and the amazing outlook to the beautiful lake. Overall, satisfied with out stay minus the little check-in hiccup.

As noted above, check in was not as smooth, however that was promptly rectified. The suite we stayed in had an open wet shower with no curtains (therefore floors do get wet). Either put in shower curtains, or provide some additional towels for the floor. We did not stay long enough to try any other facilities on site, therefore cannot comment further.
