The closeness to the ocean was so awesome! The restaurant attached is literally amazing. Best food in San Juan I think and the staff are superb. It was also really clean !!

The rooms are super super small for the price and the bathroom also. The beds don’t have blankets, only a sheet, but other than that it was great.

In the very center of the city. Cafes and restaurants nearby. Second line from the beach. The air conditioner worked perfectly.

Breakfast is the same every day. No fruit. Additional drink or coffee is already for a fee. Frequent power outages

Location was perfect. The property is one very short block to the beach and is surrounded by so many choices of good restaurants and shops.

The only negative was that twice in 2 days the water cut off. The staff was very quick to respond and they fixed the problem very quickly.

Great little hotel in the centre of San Juan el Sur. Room was nice with good wifi, air conditioning and private bathroom (w. hot water). The room also had a safe and hanging space for your clothes. Lots of plug sockets! Breakfast was also really good with a choice of 3 dishes (typico, pancakes and breakfast burrito) plus coffee or juice.

The bed sheets were of poor quality with some holes/worn areas which was a shame, the bed was comfortable otherwise. The door to our room didn't close properly (gap at the top, was not a safety issue) which meant you could hear anyone in the restaurant downstairs. As it was low season we didn't really have too many issues but I can imagine if the hotel was busy that might have been a problem. Hopefully something the hotel can easily fix! As a vegan I was able to have the modified typical breakfast so it was nice to be catered for but a shame I couldn't have a choice as the others did. There was an outdoor shower and roof terrace but both seemed to be under maintenance - these would be great if they were open!

Comfortable and very clean. The service was great from beginning to end, this includes the restaurant as well.

Unfortunately, there's no parking area, only in the street which is something bad, even if there's a lot of vehicles outside, anything could happen. The good thing though is that they have a security person taking care of the vehicles that are only in front of the Hostel and Restaurant.

Beds are amazing , really comfortable, we stayed during raining season so we stayed most of the time at the room, very cosy, perfect for my wife and my children to enjoy a nice movie night

Comfortable large beds, great air con, relatively quiet given the great location.

Shower water pressure and shower head, no hot water but that’s normal for the area.

Great location and food for a reasonable price, We always stay here when we visit San Juan del Sur.

Sometimes the television isn't so good.

I had a great stay at El Caite! The room was super comfortable with air con & hot water, comfy bed and clean bathroom. Great location, very central and walkable.
