There is always something to do. We are a family of 4 with two boys under 11. There was never a moment when they were bored. Either learning to ski for the first time or simply play in the snow there was so many fun activities outside. If they chose to remain indoors they could play in the most amazing indoor pool with a water slide or go bowling, or be in the game room where there was a pool table and table tennis. For us parents we always felt safe having the children run around doing their activities and allowed us to spend some quality time together. The food was amazing. The breakfast spread was healthy and fresh and a very large variety. No junk food at all. We actually had dinner in the restaurant every evening and between the A La Carte menu or the Daily menu we had wonderful options. There was a kids buffet every night. It was only a 20 minute walk to Geilo if we needed groceries or shopping. There was also a Husky sleigh ride just a 10 minute walk from the resort. Should also mention that the gym and spa was top notch. It was our first ever ski trip but we are already looking at when we will return to Vestlia again.
It is difficult to think about what could've been better. We wish it would've snowed a little bit more. It was unseasonably warm for February. For the actual resort, the only place that feels that there is unrealized potential would be the game room. Though we had a lot of fun there, the room itself feels a bit unloved.

The staff at the restaurant (the sommelière from Slowenia and the guys from romania) were super sweet and did a great job in helping us with the wine and also finding a good spot for us. Also the barkeeper did a great job mixing the negronis!
The AC in the restaurant was blowing like crazy so we had go switch to another table. The room was super big but all the inventory has seen better days. No love to details, a lot of scratches on all the sofas, beds, bathroom inventory.. quite sad for the price. First impression was great, but if you look to close it‘s really used and shabby. And there is no space to put your necessaire anywhere in the bathroom so we had to put it on the floor

Everything was 10/10! Fantastic stay and we can't wait to come back next year! The staff are super welcoming, the food is delicious and the amenities are great. The pool is really big and the water slide is a fantastic addition. The bar area is super cosy and a great place to chill with a drink and play some board games. Great location as well.
The only thing we didn't have was a kettle in the room. Would've been nice to be able to make a hot drink whenever you please rather than having to buy one from the cafe.

The Vestlia resort has exceeded our expectations. It has an excellent location just next to the Geilo main ski slopes, that offer great opportunity to ski directly from the hotel. The hotel itself is really great, the interior brings you back in 80s and 90s and have a charm of fused modern style with the antique. The staff was amazingly friendly! For family with the kids, you have so many activities to do (swimming pool, bowling, activity room, cinema) which make your stay so much fun. The restaurant was also nice and breakfast was great. We had such a great holiday! Manythanks!
In the evening, the wardrobe near the swimming pool tended to become a bit dirty. Though it was still ok, would be great if the staff can take care of it more frequent.

Staff at check-in has been super friendly and helpful throughout the stay; we have also used the spa and had a massage, and the therapist was brilliant! Rooms are very spacious and clean, and location is great for accessing lots of hikes during the summer
Breakfast options on the sweet side were a bit limited, so if you don't eat a lot for Breakfast and won't taste an English Breakfast, you won't have a lot of choice. The dinner menu was also quite limited in choice, but the quality of the food was overall very good.

Beautiful, sprawling hotel in a great setting, the ski run literally running to the door. Felt very spacious with a great mix of traditional and modern decor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were a suite with double attached, both very clean, comfy and had all facilities we needed. Transfer to and from the train station was seamless. Would love to return.
Strange that the gym didn't open until 9.00 and breakfast finished at 10.00 so if you want a workout and shower before breakfast, tough. The bowling alley was also closed the night we were there which was a shame.

Beautiful resort, the whole building is aesthetically great with plenty of services (although the pool was under renovation during our stay). The room was spacious, clean and cozy. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and very nice. The prices (probably because we stayed between seasons) were also quite competitive for the service provided.
The location is good, but being in spring between seasons means the whole area is very active in regard to maintenance and the rooms facing the skilifts don’t have a really good view.

Beautifully designed to please any type of tourist. Its a huge resort, very American style, with loads of activities and things to do. We only stayed for a day but have earmarked it for a second visit next time we visit Norway. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, our view from the balcony was amazing. The breakfast spread was very generous and varied. The restaurant for dinner has a good variety of food choices. Overall a very good resort and well worth spending more time here. Front desk staff Juhi was very helpful and friendly and approachable.
There was nothing not to like. A great place

Nice hotel for skiing! We visited it off season, so we avoided the crowds! :) Nice facilities and very friendly staff.
The room was quite fresh, even with the heating full on, maybe due to a ventilation system, you could not turn off. The breakfast could use a little improvement in the quality of some products. It’s a pity that Sauna and Bowling are closed on Sunday!

Room, facilities (swimming pool, wellness, outdoor activities nearby) all perfect! Restaurant is also good and if you like hiking, running, biking: all possible and perfect area for it.
Wellness was not included in the price and quite expensive for two hours only. Benefit of it is that it is super quiet in the wellness, but I'm used to it being included in the price in similar hotels.
