I liked the traditional appearance of the building, a comfortable place to stay in the valley and within easy reach of the ski area. Also, good to be able to store the skis in a safe room near the entrance. Breakfast is self, the choice is vast and covers all tastes. Dining room for dinner is nicely decorated and serves food of very good quality.

No hair dryer in the room. Perhaps being a solo male, the staff deemed a hair dryer as not required but I have long hair and a dryer is useful in such a cold climate.

An absolutely amazing stay! Thank you, Tomas, for facilitating my stay and always helping out with advice and other tourist matters. The room and property itself - amazing and exceeded expectations so much. The lobby/lounge as well as the room are obviously very recently renovated. In terms of the room, there's an amazing view and an extremely comfortable bed. Plenty of staff that maintain the property very well, for example, rooms/sheets are cleaned everyday. Before coming, my main concern was that the room is located above a bar, but that wasn't an issue, as you couldn't hear the music at all (Except for Saturday I think, but it was manageable). In terms of the breakfast - also superb, Swedish buffet with a lot of options to choose from.

Really not much to say. Just for improvement maybe would be nice to have more facilities, such as a restaurant/cafe to have lunch/dinner or sauna to relax in the evening.

The breakfast is really excellent!!! Really nice lobby. The jazz music creates a really nice atmosphere. The bistro restaurant. Really friendly staff and excellent food.

The one negative thing - payment for parking! I have been a guest every year for 10 years and was suddenly claimed 300 kr for parking without prior notice. So maybe a little surprising and dissapointing.

Great location in the center of downtown Hemsedal, close to skibus, shops and restaurants. It is possible to book specific number of days for the day, - and the length of stay. Many other hotels only accept saturday to saturday - or similar ...

Breakfast is OK - but with limited selection, quantity and quality of food. Hotel is old and inventory and furniture is worn and carpets partly miscoloured. No good insulation in the rooms - so if your nabour is noisy - it can be heard.

We were welcomed very well, the breakfast was good, the bed was comfortable, quiet environment at the end of the corridor and then the reception was very cozy.

We got a room upgrade to get a sitting area. The previous room needed maintenance. The central heater didn't work in the second room but we got good electric heaters in the room. The young man in the reception did everything to meet our needs and the stay was extremely enjoyable. 😊

The location is very good. The room was fantastic. Staff was very good services.

Our room was closed to the stairs and we could hear everything outside the door. Breakfast was ok, and it could be better, we missed good coffeemaskin, and the table was not clean.

The location is excellent, with easy access to the shuttle buses to the slopes, and close to the snow trail that comes down to the centre of town. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was very delicious. The sauna and steam room were delightful ammenities that I took full advantage of, and left me feeling very content and relaxed after my days of riding.

To be honest, there was nothing that I did not like.

We arrived at the night time and the staff did amazing job to make the check in process as smooth as possible. Our room was upgraded to a better one which was amazing and we got offered a late check out without any extra charge. Could not ask for more.

Not first time in Skogstad Hotel, but this time, I had to leave an exceptional comment about the dedicated staff and the complete facilities. Can't wait for my next reservation 10/10 - Breakfast - Saunas - Affordable price - Parking - Proximity to ski busses - Proximity to several restaurants /Javier and friends

We enjoyed very much, everything clean , even if furniture are old , everything is clean and warm , good breakfast, at the location is the Best in Hemsedal!! The Young lady from reception she was lovely, she was so nice ☺️☺️

I liked almost everything , maybe the beds, because there twins and it ia not so comfortable to sleep 😁
