The main thing is they're the first hotel of many on our journey to serve real scrambled eggs. The hotel is super inviting, the small seating areas are super cozy, making you want to actually use them, compared to most other hotels where they feel like an afterthought. The breakfast was super nice, felt fresh and high quality, and they had a nice selection of different things, something for every taste. The staff was super nice and welcoming, the room was clean and felt well thought out, and the bathroom looked modern. Overall a very cozy stay. We did however not use the pool or eat dinner there, so I can't speak of the quality of that.

The only minus i can think of is that the pool area costs extra to use, and it's limited to a certain time period. So if you want to use the pool for an entire day, you will need to pay for multiple time slots. This is also the reason we didn't use it.

Interior design was so inspiring and gave a perfect sense of coziness. The bed was big and comfy. Amenities were all well and if more needed,it was provided upon request. Super clean. Amazing breakfast at the restaurant with a panoramic view of mountains. It has plenty if games to play at the lobby, so you will not get bored at all.

The location is challenging if you have no car but was Ok for us with a car. The food at the restaurant doesn't worth the value and the quality of food has room for improvement. The pool had many regulations, it wasn't free and required pre-registration which was quite bothering.

The hotel itself is very cool and stylish, the breakfast was perfect - wide range of products, not too crowded (despite the high season) as the breakfast venue is quite big. Views over the valley are stunning. It is pure pleasure sitting in Liv restaurant. The location is also very convenient - across the street there is a lift to the trails. Ski in, ski out. Nice and convenient lockers. All very user friendly.

The cleanliness is probably the major problem in this hotel. During our 4 nights stay the room was never properly cleaned - the floors in bathroom and hallway were never cleaned, the same as carpet in bedroom. Also the room is very tiny, if you are in a skiing trip, it is not easy to manage with tiny closet. The waffle making machine during the breakfast was not working properly.

Property is amazing, the architecture, the interiors and design are so perfectly done. Warm colors, amazing lounge areas with games and large fire pits, just so warm and welcoming. The decor is both so stylish and quirky, rooms are so well equipped, huge and comfortable bed with divine bedding and pillow selection. Bathroom is huge and everything is so pristine and clean. Staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Pool and outdoor facilities are great, bar and restaurant have a superb selection of food and drinks, breakfast buffet selection is just fantastic too. Everything about this place is perfect. I will visit and stay again soon.

We have been travelling for so many years and still this was one of our favourite hotels ever. It was cozy, clean and had great add ons like the free games,the free parking, fireplaces, free lockers at the sports club and the free water. Special thanks to the super friendly staff at the reception who did an excellent job connecting two separate bookings to one ( this should be normal but it really is not)

The only recommendation we have would be that there should be more variety of bread in the morning ( but we would never deduct any points for this)

This was "fairy tail" experience - we loved this place very much. Hotels interior and design is like from other fancy century and super cozy. We regreted to book this place only for one night. But most excited part was - Pool Club, which works till midnight. We were there around 23 pm and we were almost only customers so we enjoyed quite privite atmoshpere there with cold coctails by pool. :D And our bed in room was so "king size" we alsmot could not reach each others hands :D

These ar minor comments / sugestions and in no way interfered with our overall satisfaction: * Hotel provides you with bathrobe and good quality flip-flops. Only they come in big sizes and as I have feet size 37-38 they were too big for me and so I used my own slippers brought from home. Although - my husband was happy about size as he has big feets (size 43-44). *We didn't understand how lockers works at Pool club (how to lock them), maybe in future Hotel might consider to introduce electronic bracelets which locks lockers as well ;)

Good, plentiful breakfast. Parking was free in the area immediaely below the hotel (not in the car park a little further away. For us it made a good stopping point after picking up a car from Oslo airport at midday.

A suspicious message 'from the hotel' through the Booking.com portal, reportied a problem with the payment. A phone call to the hotel confirmed that there was no such problem. Eventually, 5 days later, the hotel sent a message warning clients of this, blaming Booking.com for a data breach. Apart from that all was OK but the hotel sends out far too many messages.

Great location in heart of Hemsedal Ski Resort area. At night with lights and inside design makes very impressive sight. Hotel has his years, but everything is well maintained, and rooms are beautifully decorated as well as hallways. Restaurant has stanning mountain few.

Requirements to use the pool. You have to make advance reservations for particular time frame. I booked the hotel with hope to use the pool on the night we arrived, but I could not.

A very stylish and at the same time cosy hotel! Looks majestic and has a relaxed vibe. Very comfy beds, dozens of comfy sofas in the common areas, wonderful pool both inside and outside. Ski lift only 30 meters from hotel! Perfect location! Fantastic views!

Even though the restaurant offered delicious and high quality dishes, the menu could have had a greater variety! Travelling with teenagers who did not qualify for the kid's menu and who could not be tempted by f.ex. pasta with truffles resulted in them being disappointed in the restaurant. It would be nice to have a dish or two that are tempting for teenagers.

This was one of our most enjoyable stays so far. The breakfast was outstanding, rooms were very comfy, the interior design was super beautiful, and the staff were very friendly. If we visit Hemsedal again, we’ll definitely be back. It was so good that we now compare every other hotel to this one!
