I should start with thanking the staff for accepting me earlier than the regular check-in. And for how helpful the lady at the desk was with all the tiny invoicing details that matter to my university and are really just nuisances. Also, it was so great to be able to stay till 12:00 (the regular check-out) which just gives you this extra bit of peace and relaxation upon departure. On top of that, breakfast was really good, although everyone advertised fish and they were scarce.

I guess my only problem is with nature. The seaguls gawking from 4am combined with the early sunlight I am not used to made sleeping a challenge. But I don't think courtains could be much thicker than in my room.

Very pleasant and functional hotel room which excellently serves it's purpose of accommodating various sorts of guests in this beautiful city. Room was bigger than average with a large single bed almost the size of a twin-bed. Very inteligently composed, well-equiped and definitely so relaxing. Large windows in my room, in one of upper floors, gave me enough natural light. I was also impresed the way this quarter was so decent, quite visited but peaceful at nights. Also elegant in a very old fashioned manner. Everything in acomodation was clean and bed was super comfortable. All of neighborhood is very charming and welcoming to a guest, even though it's quite large and in a very city center. Breakfast was with enough options and plentiful. Alttough hotel is for every recommendation hotel staff is, at least that is my opinion as a frequent traveler who visited more than 40 countries wordwide, up to the task and equallly worthy resource of this hotel. Always very kind, with a sincere smile and ready to serve the guest. Definitely, all of this experience was excellent memory and good value for money.

The hotel has a great location! It is near the train station as well as close to the city center. The main attractions are walkable from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed it very much. The staff were friendly, though it did seem they could have used an extra set of hands or two at times, especially at the front desk.

The hotel was very pricey! It was the most expensive I stayed at in Norway, and I did quite a bit of traveling around the country. The hotel was on par with bookings at about 2/3 of the price in other cities. I did enjoy my stay though, and would stay there again.

The location is great. Easy to reach by bus from the airport and central to public transportation. The facilities were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was well done. Most of all, the staff was Great! Everyone with whom we interacted was well-informed and more than willing to help us in any way, from finding our way around the city to arranging for a very early breakfast and taxi to the airport. We asked about the laundry facilities in the hotel and they no only showed us where and how but even offered to do it for us.

This hotel was in a great location to walk and explore the town! The room was a decent size, had a large shower (which was nice!) and was very clean and comfortable! The breakfast here was also worth it! Lots of super neat hikes in/near the town which are worth doing!

Be ware of parking tickets here! Not the hotels fault but just make sure you are in the correct spot and don't run out of your time you paid for! We accidentally went over our paid parking time by 5 minutes and got a hefty $120 parking ticket!

Nice room of good size. Pet friendly. Since there was a big dog show and lots of us had to leave early they moved the breakfast so that we could eat before leaving! So perfect service!!! Will come back :)

A bit tricky parking, otherwise great. I must say I am embarrassed by fellow travelers with dogs on how they behave! It makes all us trying to be considerate and love to travel with our dogs have a hard time finding good places to stay. Thank you very much for having us!

Perfect location (1 min to the shopping street, 5min to the harbour, so really centrally located), room was equipped with everything you need (hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo), bed was comfortable. The breakfast (which is always included in the reservation) offered great variety for every taste, even for people with allergies.

For longer stays you have to bear in mind that the room will not be cleaned and towels only changed every 5 days. For our 1-night stay it was no problem, but I’m not sure how I would feel if we stayed longer.

I was quite pleased with everything at this hotel. The receptionist was very helpful at check-in, particularly as the tourist office was closed, and she gave me useful local information. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, and provided in a large, relaxed room. The hotel also had a small but well-equipped fitness room, which was appreciated.

Really the only thing I didn't like was having an interior room, with no window to the outside. However, I may have gotten this room since I checked in early.

Good Hotel. Clean. Staff is friendly and available at the reception. Good breakfast. Got some take away for the night. Staff also provided cutlery to eat in my room. Staff also helped with directions to places I can visit.

The parking mentioned is not free (during the day). There is a paid parking available in the opposite building, 2 min walk away. You can also park outside for free between 5pm to 8am.

The hotel was located in quiet area, close to the water front, harbor and old town, everything possible on foot. The room was quiet, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, everything was there, whatever one wants. Everything was clean and the staff was always very friendly.

The room and the bathroom should be decorated some day, it's a bit too old.
