Location and room

The young boy in reception was in off mood. He just asked me about my name and that’s it!! Didnt welcome properly, didn’t mention any thimg about the hotel or our breakfast etc .. The buffet was too crowded in my forst day that even the croissant wasn’t enogh for all the guest.

Magnificent view seeing the river and fjord. Wonderful location and green landscape. A refined hotel. Very cosy and comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner buffet are rich and delicious. Nice and well attentive staff. We liked the pool and wellness facility.

Although a beautiful five star, we note some shortcomings in the standard room amenities, such as the usual personal care tools in the bathroom (tooth brush, nail kit, etc). Also, a room safe is a convenience necessity.

The facilities are amazing and the staff are delightful. We loved being here for 4 days as we got to use everything. The pool and spa are so lovely after hiking all day. The gym is nice and clean with good quality equipment. Loen is a fantastic destination, so much to see and do. The Fjord and the lake are stunning and it was all easily accessible from Hotel Alexandra. We will definitely be back.

Some lighter dumbbells in the gym would help. Also it would be great to be able to use the gym anytime, the open hours are a bit limited.

Breakfast buffet was amazing. Huge selection and also made to order items. Dinner buffet was also extensive. Great for seafood lovers. Service was excellent. The shower drain and balcony door weren’t working. The manager came immediately even though it was around 10pm and switched my family of 4 to a junior suite (originally we were in 2 rooms). They set up a sofa bed and cot and included a king bed. The bathroom was huge (included shower and bathtub). Views from the room were spectacular even tho it was foggy most days. Parking included with option to charge EV.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice swimming area with 2 pools (indoor and outdoor), 3 jacuzzis (2 out, 1 indoor), and a water slide. Didn't check out the saunas as you had to pay extra for those. Very large dinner and breakfast buffet with loooots of stuff.

Many group tourists with buses, be mindful at which time you go to the buffet! Electric car charging parking garage was expensive, 395 NOK for 1 night regardless of how much you actually charge the car.

i have nothing to complain, location is amazing, rooms are spacious and very clean. Pool area was very nice on good weather. very quick check in and check out. Modern tv, comfy bed, nice bathroom.

we were on sunday so all inside activities like gym and games were closed down very early. was surprised on extra fee for some of them too, but thats just a little inconvenience.

A large building, already having its years, but it has many advantages. Very nice lobby, extremely helpful staff, restaurant with delicious food, huge selection of feed from the buffet. Very nice, modern rooms, comfortable bed, well-equipped gym. The hotel is located in a beautiful village, next to it there is a cable car that can take you 1100 m up and offers an extraordinary view of the fjords. Important, tickets for entry can be purchased at the hotel reception. The building is already quite old, but the comfort in the interior compensates for the resort character of the hotel. From the outside it can not stall, but everything is great from the inside.

Fantastic setting. Very good facilities (pools, sport area, games area, etc.) Breakfast/Dinner buffet was very good The staff were very helpful - we had an issue due to having a dog with us and they helped us find a room regardless which was really appreciated as it was meant to be one of the nicest stays of our trip

It is pricy relative to other places we stayed on our trip but also very nice (and the best place we stayed).

The Spectacular View from our Balcony. The Great Views of the Flowing Turquoise Colour water of a river as we drove around the area. There were 5 Heated Swimming Pools. Great & Very Massive Dinner Buffet and Breakfast too.

1 day was too short for us to enjoy all the Facilities completely. We will return for a longer time. The Staff at the Restaurant, wearing a Black Suit seemed over professional and sometimes too much of something isn’t that good, coz it gives a different picture of being rather Rude or Proud. However, we didn’t have to deal with him much, so it was ok.
