The property itself is beautiful and in a great location. Views of the fjord from the restaurant are wonderful, and the food there is good, but not great. The separate bar is lovely, but needs to be monitored - there were a dozen kids in there during happy hour on account of the games, which should be in another location other than a dedicated bar for adults. Staff everywhere was awesome!

Our room was dated, and could use a makeover, but it was comfortable. Parking is plentiful but can be difficult if you have a larger car. Again, the separate bar should not be doubling as a game room! Also, the same kids who took over the bar were later climbing up the stones beneath the hot tubs, which I photographed and showed the front desk, as it's a hotel liability, and an obvious distraction to older adults looking to relax without a dozen urchins invading every place we looked for serenity.

We loved the view and the hotel amenities. There were many sophisticated, modern and comfortable areas to sit and enjoy drinks and food, all taking advantage of the superb fjord view. The furniture and decor are stylish and the areas for dining, cocktails/distillery are spacious and welcoming. The hotel includes quality beauty products such as body lotion and offers in-room coffee/tea service as well as a communal coffee station with fresh water and ice machine. The elevator is swift and there were several electronic bays for us to charge our electric car (for a small fee). The restaurant was perfect (again, spacious and quality decor) with excellent buffet for breakfast and dinner - the chef served freshly made delicious eggs benedict each morning. The staff were exceptional in their commitment to help and provide excellent service and a quality hotel atmosphere. The hotel is away from the main centre which we preferred. Loved our stay very much thank you!

Loved everything about our stay but one suggestion, would be a walk-in shower rather than the bath shower combo.

Excellent location, with brilliant views throughout of the fjord. The breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing, with excellent choices and lots of variety. The fish was fresh and delicious. Even though the hotel is slightly out of the town, the hotel offers a free shuttle service which we found very convenient. Rooms were clean and sufficient, good for the price

We booked a basic room, and it was pretty basic. However we seemed to have been given the most basic room, on the first floor behind one of the reception areas. It wasn’t very private, there was a path right outside our windows so anyone could look in at any time, we basically had to keep the blinds down the whole time which obviously blocked out the light.

This hotel sits up on a hill from the township. You can walk down but the hotel has an awesome shuttle service, which almost seems bespoke. Brilliant! Views are stunning and our room was perfect with a balcony we used daily. Tea and coffee making facilities and fridge were welcomed. Breakfast was good and with oat milk supplied. Thank you! We even loved the rock music you played while we ate (hilarious).

Nothing. We would come back tomorrow. What shocked us (not the hotel) was the big cruise liners in the fjord most days. One ship the MSC Euribia could hold 8,000 people I was told, and emblazoned along the side of it was #Save the Sea. Are you kidding me!!!!

The staff was very responsive to minor requests we had. The breakfast buffet was exceptional! The biggest draw for this hotel is the views! Our room had a balcony with a breathtaking view of the fjord with the ships coming in and out and the reflection of the fjord cliffs on the water...same view from the restaurant. The bar was also so beautiful with great service. One rainy evening we played games in there. They have a free shuttle into town every half hour or so until 7p. It would be nice if it went until 9p so we could eat at 7p and get a ride back but we took a cheap taxi. The short walk to town was on a windy rod without sidewalk or a path. We would definitely return.

The location was absolutely stunning—surrounded by majestic fjords, it felt like a peaceful escape from the cruise ship crowds yet close enough to walk wherever we needed. The food was excellent, the staff gave great recommendations for things to do, and everything was within easy proximity. It’s also close to an incredible local distillery and located in a great area for running and outdoor activities. The views, the comfort, and the attention to detail made it well worth the money.

The only suggestion I have would be to offer a pre-announced shuttle pick-up and drop-off schedule. That said, it was easy enough to figure out once we arrived.

Location is 10 out of 10, you're overlooking a gorgeous fjord and can even see waterfalls from the hotel, it's also located a bit outside of the town so cruise ships don't bother you. The breakfast was amazing with lots of delicious fish selection. There is also a newly built bar that had the best cocktails I've ever had in Norway and a really good selection of scotch.

It's pretty normal not to have AC in Europe / Norway so it's not like I was expecting it but I guess for the price maybe they could install ceiling fans or something, because for the few hot days (+26 during the day, so not that hot) it was practically unbearable to stay in the rooms.

This is an exceptional property and I'd highly recommend staying for anyone traveling through this area. Geiranger itself is beautiful and the hotel maximizes the views; you are basically right on the fjord, a lot of the rooms have balcony views of the fjord, and the accessible decks all are facing the fjord. If you're debating springing for the balcony rooms, I'd do it - it was exceptionally pleasant to have a deck to relax on in the morning and evening. The hotel itself was very well-maintained, clean, and sleek. Lots of offerings and amenities, from the 24hr coffee/tea in the lobby to board games in the common area to the two jacuzzi tubs and sun deck. All the employees there were pleasant and cheerful as well. Location-wise, it's very nice to be outside of Geiranger itself, as it tends to be overrun by the cruise tourists, but since this hotel is so close (about a 5 minute drive or a 30m walk) you still have access to what Geiranger has to offer, namely some excellent boat tours, souvenir shops, and additional restaurant options. I didn't take advantage of the hotel's dinner or lunch, but their breakfast spread was impressive, even by Norwegian standards, and very delicious.

Parking is available, but the lot itself is narrow and steep (almost all of Geiranger is narrow and steep). Maneuverability might be an issue if you're traveling in a camper van and I can't imagine it would be easy to get around in this area in general if you have strong mobility issues. I don't think of this as a con, honestly - it's just kind of the reality of having a hotel in a mountain area. But something people should keep in mind to ensure they're getting the accommodation that's suitable for their travel needs. Once again, would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The property is gorgeous- the hot tubs were nice in the rain. I had the most basic room and it showed- the furniture was marked a lot/had stains but it was still adequate. It was the economy room which is a way to access a property like this in an affordable manner which I appreciated. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever seen- plenty of options for gluten or dairy free. Kind staff. I’d definitely come back.

Access to food other than breakfast. Meals are a buffet and you can’t purchase anything individually. As you are up the hill from the main town, it limits food options. There is a *small* refrigerator in the room which was helpful to store some ham for a sandwich but the ability to purchase something (lets say one item a la carte) from the buffet (a staff member could go and get a piece of chicken on a plate and charge 100 nok etc) would be incredibly helpful. I don’t eat enough in one sitting for a buffet to be helpful:)

The location is superb, you basically sit in the room and watch the fjord. It takes 1 minute to reach the shore of the fjord. The staff were very polite and helpful. You can charge your car as well and you don’t even have to stress about reaching the center of the village as the hotel provides a shuttle service for free. They have a nice lounge bar where you can sit in the evenings playing board games or admiring the view, as the lounge and the restaurant have the view to the fjord. Also you have access for free to a coffee machine and water. The food is plenty and of sufficient variety.

The only niggle I would say is the price for the dinner buffet. You basically pay for the access and then you eat as much as you like.
