Excellent hotel and very helpful and responsive staff. We sent them a query prior to our arrival as we were seeking connection to our family history, not only did they respond but also briefed and organised a connection with the local librarian who also assisted us . Great restaurant & bar onsite - excellent tasty local food. Rooms facing the fjiord with balcony was an unexpected bonus to watch the setting sun. Friendly and personable locals, pretty town on the banks of the fjord and reaching up the hillsides. Would highly recommend!!!

Lovely welcoming and helpful staff. Lovely warm room. Location great. Really comfy bed and my room was upgraded before I arrived, to one with a really nice view of the harbour. Good local beer. Good breakfast selection, even though I over slept and missed the serving time!

The restaurant was holding a Christmas party so only Julebord was on offer the night I stayed. I was not informed about this at booking and was looking forward to fish and chips! However I was offered something from the menu of another property nearby, and have it served in the restaurant.

Fantastic location with an extensive breakfast. The hotel staff remembered it was my wife's birthday and gave her flowers. :-)

Hotel was let down by Booking.Com as we had booked two nights in a room with a terrace. On arrival the room was not available on the first night due to poor booking practice by Booking.Com. The Hotel staff were able to move us to the correct room for the second night and refunded us the difference.

Beautiful small hotel. We were very warmly welcomed by the front desl lady, whom went the extra mile to make sure everything was OK for us and our two bicycles. We got a very nice room with a small balcony and an awesome view over the fjord. Breakfast was very good. Free coffee and tea all day for hotel guests.

Absolutely fantastic staff: friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. I'd go again just because of them (although the view from the balconies is also amazing).

The only hotel in Tvedestrand, so not much choice. A nice hotel for its price range, though, and I'd be happy to stay there again and recommend it.

Nicely set in in the center of Tvedestrand with a view of the picturesque harbor. Nice room with a comfy bed. Great breakfast.

Really down to the nitty gritty but the soap/shampoo dispensers in the bathroom were really awkwardly placed…

Breakfast was good and a great view from the balcony. Only in the hotel a very short time as straight out to a birthday party until late.

Could be a bit cheaper but it’s Norway and not many options in this town. It was good that it was only 70 m from the town hall and party.

Staff was amazing. Frederick is unbelievable: friendly, knowledgeable and willing to do what ever we needed. It was wonderful to get to know him and the rest of the staff.
