I stayed in one of the cylinders which are cute but obviously small. They get a little warm during the day but by opening door and window in the evening I was usually able to cool it down enough for being able to sleep well. Alone I found it easy to organize myself and enjoyed my cozy private space but for two it seems very small to me, for example if one wants to change or rearrange the luggage the other would have to sit on the bed or leave the room. One suggestion: Two hooks on the wall and a small mirror would make life a lot easier! The location is right on the main road close to shops, restaurants, cafes and tour operators, but still a quiet place. The property is beautiful with large common spaces including a garden and a yoga room equipped with mats and blocks for everyone to use. Everything was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful, they had a lot of recommendations about hikes and helped organizing a guide to Barú. However at the moment there’s no restaurant and no kitchen, not even a fridge to store stuff or a water boiler to make some tea, which basically means going out for every meal.

The staff were very helpful and made sure to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Jordan especially took care of us and provided information about the activities on offer. The coffee tour to Don Pepe finca was excellent. We also did an art and wine evening which was very fun. The property itself is very nice, and has a river running through it. We saw frogs, a possum, and lots of birds. There were lots of places to chill out and a semi private area to work out/do yoga. We stayed in a dorm and the beds were comfortable and the shower was warm. The restaurant had very nice food with at least 4 good vegetarian options.

The chain is above average price, but the standard is also above average.

The facility has different types of accommodations, that can meet any budget and preferences. The place is serene as it has an actual creek running through it. Staff is full of local information to help with touring the area. The hotels restaurant Doba, makes dining easy and accessible. It is right in the heart of town.

Their cylinder pods, which I originally booked, have no circulation of air and it can get very humid. My second accommodation was better, but no AC, but there are fans. My particular room seemed to have some mold, also probably due to the humidity and air quality.

Staff were amazing, great service. We stayed in the pod accommodation with shared bathrooms. It’s ok for 2 nights, but because of the round design of the pods it’s not the most comfortable for 2 people. They do have other options if you want to pay more but we are on a budget. A fan in the pods would be amazing as it gets hot at night. Has a nice restaurant attached, which is convenient and the location is right in the middle of town. The staff helped us organise a guided hike, which was a highlight. Not a super social hostel but it’s ok if you’re in Boquete to hike.

The pods are very small - it’s ok for a couple for 2 nights but not much more. We really needed a fan as it got hot at night.

I'm on a round-the-world trip and Selena Hostel in Boquete is currently in my top 3 places out of all the accommodation I've stayed at in the last 7 months! The hostel itself is beautiful - the decoration, all the various activity and relaxation areas, the water stream running through the middle of it - and the staff are really lovely. Also, the adjoining restaurant (Dobo) is fantastic. I am very happy to recommend this place to anyone 😊

It was a amazing place to stay because it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I have my privacy even if I was in a shared bedroom. I could do my yoga practice everyday in a cozy place. The staff was kind and very attentional with my needs. I was able to speak English French and spanish with the staff !

The only thing I have to report the booking.com ad indicate there will have activities inside Selina hostal but it wasn’t the case because it was low season. It’s really important to make a correction in your publicity because it’s a misleading publicity. Take you to make the change for the futur clients !

We first stayed in a room, which was fantastic! Bed was comfortable, bathroom was fantastic and we had storage options. The staff were friendly, especially Jordan was super! The garden area is so beautiful, perfect place to meditate

We extended our stay with one night and had to move to one of the cylinder rooms. This is supposed to fit two people, but I dont see how that would work (two adults and their luggage…). So in the end we booked two cylinder rooms, and that was a very pricy experience. Not worth the money.

Loved everything about his place! A fancy, luxury hostel! Great location as Boquete is just one Main Street. Super comfortable beds with luxurious thick soft duvets which was such a nice treat from just sheets in other hostels! Everything is nice and new. Staff are great - big shout out to Jordan! HE IS THE BEST! So helpful and friendly and has been working in tourism in Boquete for years so he is so knowledgeable of the area! Restaurant has the best tequila passion fruit sangria! So many places to chill on the property.

That they allow kids to stay there. But again, it’s a fancy place and has more of a hotel vibe so I get it.

The pod was perfect for a few nights. There was room to store your bags under the bed, and hanging space as well as a bedside table to have out everything that you needed. There were ample toilets and showers that were kept clean. The social space of the hostel is gorgeous too, with a river running through it. Appreciated the welcome drink, a lovely rum cocktail, and met some lovely people as a result too. The communal kitchen was great, well equipped with lots of fridge space. Would 100% stay here again if in Boquete.

It was very convenient to have Panama Heavens office located on the property to help organize tours, activities and transfers. The aesthetic was beautiful with the river running through the property and nice outdoor social areas. Restaurant on property was also nice.

I was in a 4 person shared dorm and while there were only 2 of us in the room, it didn't appear the ensuite bathroom was ever cleaned throughout my 4 day stay. It was also very quiet with no social environment, however I think this was likely due to the protests happening at the time I visited (it didn't seem like there were many people on the property/in the town).
