(-) Very loud sadly due to different events. We had a party on Friday and a Wedding on Saturday. The problem was not so much the music as out room was at the opposite end of the hotel. However some of the wedding guests also stayed at the hotel and after the dance were having loud discussions in the patio areas, close to the rooms. I think the hotel should intervene in such cases. Also, there should be a discount for week-ends when parties take place. Given the noise, our stay was too expensive (-) The pool area should have some more comfortable sun chairs (lying) and coffee chairs (sitting) Bottom line, I think that with a few small tricks, processes and

Loved the welcome, vibe, staff, pool, cleanliness, attention to detail (excl food and drink)

Food and drink : The staff def need help to improve menus and be trained how to make fresh juice drinks and cocktails too. We tried our best but had to leave so many glasses full and felt bad. Someone really needs to go out to the better cafes and bistros in Asuncion to see how the competition are doing things - bistros and cafes within 500m rival European standards and same with decor - no wonder the restaurant is always empty. You get the feeling on food and drinks that no one behind the scenes cares anymore which is a shame because the hotel is AMAZING - a real oasis with great history!!! I won’t stop staying and I’m here regularly but I will no longer eat here or drink here anything prepared by the kitchen/bar - so sorry so sad 😓

Beautiful pool and grounds. Lovely historic hotel. Staff we extremely helpful.Everything was very clean and I would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

The room description said it had a balcony but you couldn't sit on it so I was disappointed. I would definitely upgrade to the next category because those rooms mostly had a seating area outside the room which I would have loved. Gym was not the best Not enough equipment.

Outside spaces were attractive and steeped in history. The character of the hotel was impressionable. The pool area special. The ambiance was peaceful

The bed was not comfortable (firm) and the room was small. The breakfast was limited. The location was far from central with lots of traffic to reach central areas in rush-hour.

The Gran Hotel del Paraguay is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of Asuncion. The rooms are spacious, the gardens are gorgeous, and the pool is nice to relax by. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help!

No complaints, overall was a great experience and I'd stay here again.

Breakfast is not super nice, is a basic buffet. They could try to provide more variety. It can be noisy at night if you are on the first floor. Guests are noisy and drag bags through the night.

Colonial boutique hotel with an amazing backyard and gardens. Plenty of leisure spots. Amazing pool. Decent and cheap food and drinks. Confy bed. Very good wi fi Friendly staff.

Air con - noisy at night (from next other rooms) Breakfast is limited (something they should improve) Please do not birds in cages (its 2022!!!) Beaware of bugs - there are plenty. Basic english skills. Little far from the "city center". Not about the hotel, but Asuncion is expendable.

Very good breakfast. A lot of options available. What I liked the most it's that os available very early in the morning (6:30am).

The distance from most of the activities in Asuncion. Besides there was a lot of traffic that weekend in the city (major concerts that loaded the capital).

The fact it was an old style hotel with beautiful gardens. Nice to sit outside and relax

Many of the staff spoke no English so communication was a challenge sometimes. However they did go out of their way to understand what we wanted.
