Amazing Stay at the Best Hostel in Lima! I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hostel near the airport in Lima. I originally booked a dormitory bed but was pleasantly surprised to find myself in a stylish, small, and very clean room – and I even had it all to myself! Even if someone had joined, there would have only been one other person, which is incredible considering I booked a dorm. The entire place was spotless, and the kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to use. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful. She went above and beyond when I unexpectedly needed to see a doctor, taking a lot of time to assist me. I truly appreciated her support. Overall, this is the best hostel in Lima – and at such a great price! Highly recommended!

The owners are very kind and helpful and the beds are comfortable. If you dont mind a good walk, it is doable to walk here from the airport to get a good rest before figuring out how to get around town by bus (they can help with that too). There is also a market nearby where you can buy pretty much anything cheaply.

The first time, it may be difficult to spot the hostel. Use google maps and look for the correct house number. Let them know you will be arriving when you have the wifi at the airport.

Location: A 10min drive from airport. Maypa provides shuttle taxi service at additional costs. The place has some 5-6km away from Plaza Mayor, the heart of Lima, you can take taxi, Uber or bus. Not many restaurants or shops around the neighborhood, but there are some large and small markets within 5-20 walking distance. In Mercado San Antonio on Av Peru you can buy all kinds of food, fruit. Facility: Even though the neighborhood where the guesthouse locates are not shiny, and it looks common from the outside view. I think Maypa contains nearly everything that makes the budgeted stay perfect. All the corners are clean and with no stange smells. My favorite part on facility is the kicthen next to the reception, this kitchen is shared by the host and guests without surcharge, you can freely use the oven, fridge and spices there. We enjoyed buying ingredients from the market and making meals there and are very pleased about it, just ask the staff everytime you would like to cook so that they can arrange and avoid any conflicts. Staff: Well this is my most satified part, Jodith and her sisters run the business with 100% passion and care, I can feel in this way from every dimension: I got to the site very late at 12:30am but Jodith stayed up till that moment and arranged the check-in for me. Jodith is always responsive on Whatsapp so that you can ask anything. One night I took public transport back from downtown, I was sent to a wrong place due to effective communication with the Spanish-only driver and locals(It's just like you need to head for Brooklyn while you already are on the half way to Bronx when you realize). I was desperated as my Uber App didn't work. I sent my location to Jodith and she quickly called a taxi that brought me home, which I appreciate very much! Jodith is not a English user but communication is smooth via Google Translate. The younger sister of Jodith knows English so that I could express my direct thanks to Jodith by talking to her.

Nothing that I really didn't like as I was super satisfied with it! If I indeed need to say something about improvement, that's probably be adding fan in the room because Lima gets a little bit hot in the summer. But for me myself, this is not necessary as I live in a city where temperature goes higher than Lima is. The WiFi from time to time gets weak and laggy in some corners such as the window bed in room 201, but in most places it works well.

The host is the nicest, I arrived at night, she opened a door for me with a smile. In the morning I realized I do not have enough cash, she was able to give me some when I payed the commission. Super nice vibes

The neighborhood is closed up with gates which makes it feel sketchy, but I had some breakfast in the morning in a Mercado next to the house and people there were super nice and everything was fine. At night- feels not the safest but maybe im wrong

Can't fault the people at this hotel, they were absolutely amazing. We we're stupid enough to leave some money & cards in our room when we checked and the owners were kind enough to send it all to us via Western Union. It was amazing service and very kind of them. Thank you so much to them all, would thoroughly recommend

The staff are very kind and friendly people. The breakfast prepared by housekeeper was perfect 😍

The main disadvantage of the hotel is its location. We didn’t feel ourselves secure at all.

I recently stayed at this hostel and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, providing plenty of comfort during my stay. The staff was warm and welcoming, always going out of their way to help me with anything I needed. They offered valuable assistance and were friendly and engaging, making my time there even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a positive and memorable experience.

Very close to the airport. If you walk across the bridge turn right, walk until the end and then turn right onto another bridge. Walk straight for a but and there should be busses in and out of the airport, I think it was 2 soles
