This resort was cozy and friendly, among other things. Rooms are good (make sure to take a bit better rooms with the view to the sea - the price & quality difference are worth it), location is super... But now the main parts. I'm very picky with my food - their inhouse restaurant is super! We tried to eat also in other places but ended up coming back to our own hotel for everything. Food quality is very, very good. Another main point - staff was super friendly. Not friendly in a "we have to be" kind of way but really really warm, friendly, helpful in any way. I was very impressed. This resort (while not expensive) is probably still prices above everybody else on the island but it's definitely worth it.

Small thing - I had a weak pressure in my hotel room shower. I hear my friend didn't have this issues, so it's probably just this one room.

We had a fantastic stay! The location is perfect—right in front of the sea—and the staff were incredibly helpful, even assisting us in organizing a snorkeling trip around the island. The on-site restaurant was very good, with friendly staff who also made sure we had breakfast ready for our early diving trips. The beach area is lovely, and our room was spacious and comfortable. My wife visited the spa at the sister resort and was very happy with the experience. A highlight of our trip was the excellent dive center on site. Special thanks to our dive instructor, Alex, for some truly unforgettable dives!

all good. getting to Malapascua requires some effort but Ocean Vida and the dives & snorkeling made it worth it !

The resort is right on the beach, with bar and restaurant serving delicious food and drinks the whole day!! Breakfast is good and offers different options daily, food is covered with foil to prevent flies (something we didn’t see often in the Philippines). Cold water is always available and bottle refill for a minimum charge of 25 pesos. A little to no plastic is used and plenty of shade. The reception is really helpful and will help you with anything you may need (including finding a good massage). Right at the bar there is also the dive center offering curses and fun dives (EXCEPTIONAL). What we liked the most is the family atmosphere, the staff is great, friendly attentive helpful and welcoming!! We thank JM, Eileen, Karen, Shara and the rest of the staff for making our week in Malapascua amazing!

Location was excellent if you are a diver and want to see thresher sharks. Great dive operation on site. The room was comfortable with a lovely balcony. The restaurant was great, very convenient and the food varied and delicious. The staff were great and very helpful. Having a cocktail by the beach watching the sunsets, which were beautiful, was a wonderful experience.

Only gripe is nothing to do with the hotel. At some other venue nearby, on the sunday night very very loud music prevented us from sleeping well which which is a pain when you have to get up at 0430 to get ready for diving. It went on until at least 1 am. It was clearly organised event and I don’t know if it happens every Sunday.

My recent stay at Ocean Vida in Malapascua was nothing short of perfect. The location is paradise, with a beautiful beachfront complete with hammocks, puffs, and a great happy hour to enjoy the view. The food was delicious, and the cleanliness, facilities, and overall atmosphere were top-notch. The staff, including Belen, the manager, were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure every detail was taken care of. The on-site diving center was a great addition, and just a few steps away, there’s a yoga and massage center, also part of the hotel. An incredible experience that I highly recommend!

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike about Ocean Vida. However, if I had to mention something, it would be that I wish I could have stayed longer!

The room was very nice, staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and the dives I booked with them were well organised with good divemasters who knew the sites well. We had a warm welcome from the manager personally upon our arrival, which reassured us the place was going to be good. A nice touch was every morning when we opened the door we had a nice message written on a small bit of paper attached to some paper-cased sweets.

The only complaint I have about the actual resort was once or twice we had to wait a while for food when the restaurant seemed quiet, but that's about it. The island itself is obviously very small, so land is a bit tight there but that's just how the island is. The roads are like alley ways in some places which makes walking around the island a bit unpleasant at times. Even so we still absolutely loved it there and would definitely go back!

we particularly liked the facilities and organization of the diving center adjacent to the hotel! We also really appreciated the restaurant offering the arch, a selection of good quality food! We also appreciated the service and friendliness of the staff.

We were dismayed, however, when we saw the amount of garbage on the beach and in the water, making it very difficult to swim. Unless you want to swim between plastic and countless bottles and all kinds of packaging, all the hotels should coordinate to make this place a paradise by cleaning up the edges of the beaches every day, as well as the seabeds just in front of the beaches! Please note that the hotel does not accept card payments over 10k, so bring enough cash to avoid credit card payment charges (4%) for smaller amounts.

It’s a beautiful property on the beach. Staff is super professional and nice. Great restaurant and overall the vibe of the property is super cool.

There was no hot water in the sink of the bathroom. Diver alert - the dive center at the hotel is very expensive. Easily 50% more then most dive shops. It’s managed by a separate company than the hotel. When we asked why the price difference there was no explanation. Many good dive shops in the area - so google your way if you want better pricing.

Good location on the beachfront. Friendly, attentive, kind and professional staff. Reputable dive centre partnering in main building. Nice personable touches each day per room and all round good quality.

A bit noisy from local / neighbour hotel bar with live music at the weekends until 11pm. Not ideal if rising super early in the morning for diving - but under the hotel’s control. Breakfast was functional but nothing particularly standout.

lovely compound with a lush garden, beautiful lighting; the bungalow was well designed, clean and spacious, beds super comfy, the shower was very good, the staff was amazin, the welcome procedure in itself outstanding; free calamansi-infused water while you sit on the beach; genuinely liked the restaurant (try the philippine tapas!)

breakfast buffett was comparatively boring (except the fresh juices!), all in all not the cheapest place
