They have their own port and boat facilitated by the staff. It’s beach front and very quiet and peaceful and the villa that was given to us is near the restaurant and near the beach. The cabin and the overall ambiance gave a rustic ancient feels. The whole family of eight fits the villa with each one having a bed of their in one villa. Food is delicious and gave us free tortang talong. Though 3x higher cost of the food, but the staff are very and rushes to the villa once they are needed.

It’s a big old and needs renovation, the wood are old and the ceiling have holes and leak there was a heavy downpour of rain and it flooded the restaurant. The wooden table are all getting wet and the staff are not mindful enough the furnishing can get rotten by the water from the rain. Some socket are not working and the ceiling electric fan are not working.

The Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Especially during the boat transits. The food was delicious with descent serving sizes. Very exclusive, peaceful, and private. Especially for us who want to spend quality time with family, rest and relaxation. Having WiFi access. The pools and beach hit the spot with the kids. The price was very agreeable. A great choice for a Birthday celebration and for an overseas tropical island getaway.

The walk to and from the boat transfer was a bit long and confusing, especially for us with kids and elderly. More signs for direction is needed. Having access to some local fruit or any would have been ideal especially on an island getaway.

Transport from Davao (Insular hotel) on a speedboat was included which was very convenient and the experience was fun. The staffs were super accommodating and the place was surrounded by nature which was nice and peaceful. Food was delivered to the rooms (table outside the room) and the portions are reasonable. The bed was also an amazing size so no worries about somebody being too tall or too big for it.

The beach is small which is fine if not a lot of people who are staying at the resort are there all at the same time. Also, if you’re after a beach with fine sand and no rough stones and shells, you might be a tad disappointed. You do notice because the sea isn’t deep so you have to sit or kneel or in the sand to enjoy the waters. The pool isn’t the biggest either so a bit crowded for a number of resort goers. Just things so consider, really.

Conveniently located as it’s just few minutes away from the Waterfront Hotel. Chemas offers free boat transfer which made the trip hassle-free. Chema’s by the sea has a rustic vibe. The nature’s landscape definitely added to its beauty and uniqueness. The pool is clean and the beach is nice to swim at when its high tide. The staff is the highlight of the place I would say. Approachable, friendly and well-trained. The food is also their strong asset, it is indeed worth the penny. All the meals we ordered are delish.

These will be a constructive criticism. There are a lot of things which need fixing in the property. The main swimming pool has a lot of cracked tiles and loose fixtures which need repair or replacement. This must be a top priority as this is for the guests’ safety. The villa’s toilet, it’s flush button needs fixing, the tiles in the shower require bleaching. Lastly, it would be nice if there is no need to ask for the beach towel whenever you need them, instead it should be provided straight away in the rooms based on the number of guests.

I always always love going to Chema's everytime were back home! Service is always exceptional, and the money spent is well-worth the experience of having to have the resort almost all to ourselves at night - away from the horde of people, compared to being in a resort thats readily available to the general public. I like the fact that it is a little more exclusive than the other resorts nearby, as I really cherish my quiet relaxation time. The room we had booked was slightly smaller than the cabana we had when my husband and I last visited (and I would have gladly paid for the difference too had it been available on the day) however it was still well-maintained and very cosy. We stayed in Room 5A- Big enough and comfortable to house a couple looking to stay overnight. The room was also air-conditioned, with a fridge and a spacious shower room. (The shower could do more with a little bit more pressure, but its only a minor issue for me - I like when my shower blasts me with water - but that can be easily addressed and remedied by the establishment.) The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows! I have never felt THAT well-rested since our hectic week before we stayed the night! It also helped that there was a little area where we could choose to sit and eat on our little balcony, in case we didnt want to do a walkabout to the restaurant. - We actually did this with our dinner, and the staff were so accommodating, they took our orders well-before dinner hours, asked us when and where we preferred to dine, and even set up our table really lovely! I felt that that was a very personal and nice touch to cap our night! We had carbonara and pizza for dinner with some wine, and food was so amazing! Even the breakfast we had by the beach side was sooooo good! OMG the beef tapa and tocino - *chef's kiss* Staff were so attentive and couldn't do enough for you.

I would have to say that the only downside was the waiting area that you have to stay in while waiting for boat transfers as it isn't really the coolest and most comfortable place to stay at while waiting (especially with the summer season kicking in). But other than that, everything was perfect!

The free boat transfer is a godsend as we had no idea how to get there ! Staff welcome you with a fruit juice then show you to your cottage or room which was nice n cool with ac on in preparation. Food at dinner was fantastic with serving on your own balcony which was like something from a Sandals resort ! Staff are so helpful and beach facilities are cool too.

Too many rocks in the sea lol but that's nothing to do with the resort !

the chandelier needs a bit of attention. the pathway stepping stone needs brushing some of them are covered with moss and it was slippery. the roof gutters needs deep cleaning. and some roof are filled with dried leaves. I wish there was discounts on food and drink for the in house guests!

Loved the rustic charm of the buildings and landscape under the canopy of large shade trees. The large balconies, comfortable beds and well layed out bathrooms. The coral and fish life out towards and beyond the end of the wharf. Really peaceful place to stay.

Need quieter, more modern air-conditioning. Meals were low quality.

Amazing place, amazing views and facilities. Very friendly staff and all were nice and accomodating.

Aircon in the cottage room isn't super good, doesn't make the room cold. No wifi when we came and Items were out of stock, weren't able to order cocktails and shakes.
