We stayed here for 2 nights, loved the location as it was close to the airport. Rooms were a good size as we were 2 friends staying and like a bit of space. The service was amazing, staff going above and beyond. We both had massages on site which were really good. The bonus surprise was the beach access via 1521’s other property. A great place to relax for the day.

Location is close to airport and very close to Mactan Newtown. The restaurant for the most part was a pleasant experience and provided tasty food, one exception below. All of the Staff are very pleasant and being trained well. Besides the bathroom the rest of the room was very clean and neat.

Shower drain was plugged up with lots of hair from previous Guests. The air vent in bathroom was dirty. The risotto served with salmon in restaurant was more like congee. Not risotto rice at all. No spare toilet rolls were provided and we had to request from front desk. All comments were made to Staff who corrected issues appropriately. The swimming pool was closed on the day of arrival.

Close to the airport, quiet and comfortable

Spacious, clean, comfortable room. The breakfast / dining room is attractive and the breakfasts were good. It's not far from the airport which is convenient. This is one of the better hotels we've stayed at on Mactan Island.

If you want a quiet place to stay, then be aware that February 17th and 18th is the town Fiesta and it's very noisy all night. It's also quite far from the CCLEX bridge which is much the quickest way to get to Cebu city.

This was the absolute perfect overnight stay in Cebu. The hotel is incredibly clean and well-equipped, the staff were attentive and constantly catering to our needs, and the room itself was comfortable and spacious. There is a lovely pool and also a rooftop area which provides great views over Mactan Island. We also tried the massage service during our stay and can't speak highly enough of it, just a fabulous experience.

The hotel restaurant and bar is expensive for what you get and the price they ask airport transfer is very steep; we ended up taking a taxi which was less than a fifth of the cost. Also, this hotel is located on Mactan Island, so if you want to explore Cebu, you'd be better off staying somewhere else.

Even though the hotel is on a main road without restaurants or bars nearby, it compensates with a great rooftop and a complimentary shuttle to a private beautiful lounging cabanas area with a pool by the beach with dinner being delivered at your choice. The hotel itself has a nice small pool and restaurant which is opened throughout the day. Staff is helpful and friendly, from check in to cleaningness all was done well. Good proximity to the airport which is 15mins drive away. This hotel is good for 1 or 2 night stay. The hotel is very nicely decorated, from Joey’s restaurant to the rooms which are clean large and has all what one needs. A very good value for a 2-star hotel. Overall great service, friendly team.

I felt the breakfast was the weak point of the hotel. As there are no restaurants nearby Joey’s restaurant could do better, especially at breakfast. Tried both the buffet and served one breakfast, it’s tricky to cater to both western and Filipino breakfast but still I think there’s room for improvement and some creativity. Dinner had good choices and well served. Lastly I wanted a slice of carrot cake but I had to buy the whole loaf which was fine yet when I asked for a slice a thin slice given, heated, I’ve asked for another thick slice unheated but got two thin slices heated. A good cake yet way too oily.

The breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel was one of the primary reasons why I chose to stay at 1521. I had an early morning flight at Cebu-Mactan International to return home to the USA. The hotel had good reviews at Booking.com so that had a big weight on why I chose 1521 Hotel over other nearby hotels in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

I wish the 1521 Hotel could offer in the future some oatmeal as another option for the breakfast menu. Having oatmeal for breakfast is a viable and logical choice for health conscious travelers like myself.

Comfy room and aircon. Nice shower and pool was clean. Could walk to restaurants and bars down the road.

Price of everything at the hotel. Extortionate. Add on a 15 percent service charge for a beer. Went to roof terrace no cold beer. Room has a service charge and another tax on it and so does every item u buy.

People working are very nice. Air conditioning was good and clean rooms. Food was definitely good too.

I wish there was a hot tub at both locations. Maybe some live music at least one of the locations. 800 pesos for shuttle to airport is ridiculous. You can take a Grab ride for 282 Pesos.

it was very well maintained and everything was very clean. The staff were always seen cleaning the property which is very important in this climate where facilities can deteriorate quickly. Their beach area, where they shuttled you, was a wonderful and relaxing oasis. The staff were always ready to assist you immediately and always with a smile.

The beds could have been softer but they were okay.
