I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mecaja Beach House in the breathtaking Palawan, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled along the pristine coastline, this resort offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made me feel right at home. The accommodations were nothing short of spectacular, with beautifully designed rooms that provided stunning views of the ocean. The sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore created a serene atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The resort's location is ideal for those looking to immerse themselves in nature. The nearby beaches are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen, with crystal-clear waters and soft, sandy shores. I enjoyed various activities, including snorkeling and island hopping, all organized by the friendly staff who were always willing to assist. Dining at Mecaja Beach House was a delight. The restaurant offered a diverse menu featuring delicious local cuisine made with fresh ingredients. Each meal was a culinary adventure, and the sunset views from the dining area made every dinner special. Overall, my stay at Mecaja Beach House was a dream come true. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway surrounded by natural beauty, this resort is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return.

Everything… the staff are amazing, always helpful, they go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Always smiling. They are like family! The beach front bungalows are lovely. Good size, nicely decorated. Lots of space and furniture to put belongings. Shower was good but not warm, weather was hot so cold water was welcomed. Food in the restaurant was so good. Breakfast is a choice of a few things, all made to order. Menu for evening meals had a lot of choice and again, cooked to order. The chef certainly knows how to cook. All of it was great. They do a selection of activities, we did an island hopping/snorkelling day. Saw lots on the reefs. Nighttime fire fly cruise up the river was a great experience. You can hire kayaks. The place itself is quite off the beaten track, 10k down a dirt road (it is being rebuilt) There are no other restaurants in the area, and no atm’s so bring enough cash for your stay. The site runs on solar so be mindful of power usage especially if it’s cloudy, but the have a back up generator. WiFi was good.

Location was incredible! Staff were so kind and even took my son over to the local basketball court to play with the locals whilst the rest of the family went on a simply perfect boat trip. (a must if you're staying there!). Laundry was so cheap to get done there 100 peso per kilo and super fast.

The surface from the main road was a little rustic to say the least, but you can see that works are being done to improve it and compared to some roads we experienced later on our holiday it was a doddle. But once you are there you don't really want to venture out by car until you leave as it was a bit of a nuisance. But there's a shop in walking distance and the place is so lovely to stay at and chill.

The owners and the staff are AMAZING and VERY ACCOMMODATING. The prices aren't bad for their location. They're not as expensive as El Nido. The area is constantly being cleaned and kept organized. Their food is good and the view is mesmerizing.

Sandmites

The hotel located very peaceful place, staffs are very friendly and kind, the food in the restaurant was perfect. There was a dog called “Sune”, he was sick but all staffs are taking care of him a lot, and Sune was very adorable too. We already miss the place and Sune so much. We would like to come back again here one day.

The electric for the rooms are working from the solar panel, and the water for shower is from rain water, so there is no water for shower and no electricity for the room when there is no rain and no sunshine for the long time. (But the staff can open normal tap water for shower if you ask ) And in the reception and the restaurant have wifi but our room was the most far away from there so we didn’t have wifi and internet, but we didn’t need to use the internet there since the hotel and beach were the perfect for relaxing.

Where to start... we booked for just one night but extended our stay cause the place and the people there are amazing. Our room was basic but perfect for two people and next to it, there's a big bathroom. Mecaja has also a restaurant and they organize island hopping tours where you have a high chance of seeing marine wildlife such as turtles, manta rays and colorful corals. It's a quite place right in front of the beach and it's perfect if you wanna relax and stay away from the crowd for a while. The village is small but you can spot some monkeys jumping around. The best part of the stay was Yolanda, the manager of the place, she's such a vibe, always happy and helpful with everything you need; we laughed so much, thanks Yoli, also for the seashell bracelets you made for us<3 Also it's a big opportunity for tourists or backpackers to spend time with locals and get to know the culture a bit more. There's a shop nearby, it's not on Google Maps but the owner is called Maribel and she's the sweetest. Maya and Faby

I recently stayed at this wonderful resort, and I have to say it’s the perfect place to relax in complete tranquility. The atmosphere is peaceful, allowing you to unwind fully. The restaurant is fantastic, offering a variety of delicious options to suit all tastes. Additionally, the resort provides boat tours to the nearby islands, which was an incredible experience, and they also offer scooter rentals, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. A special mention goes to the manager, Yolanda, who is incredibly charismatic and made our stay even more enjoyable. She was full of energy and helped us have a great time. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to relax, explore, and enjoy amazing service!

This is truly fantastic place and off the beaten path place to chill out for few days.. It has the nicest most helpful staff who make the stay so enjoyable and are great chefs. Can do anything you like for activities, but also just do nothing. There is a dive location next door, so if to that, can view the manatees. The food is very good, especially try the crab. Great Internet. Can do a mermaid photo shoot if are into that. Watch the loyal fishermen - nice chairs to relax. Good drinks. We took a bus from Port Barton to the closet station at turn off - and from there it's about 1 hour by TukTuk, or less than 30 minutes by a van that can be booked.

Words won't do justice to how beautiful and enchanting my stay was at this heavenly resort. The surrounding nature, clean pristine beach, and waters at this resort are a treasure. Staying in the bungalow by the beach for 14 nights added to my experience, making it one to cherish and keep for life. Not to forget that it is a great way to learn how to live with nature. The bungalow nonetheless was excellently equipped with plugs, full shower, and clean, well maintained bedding. The great food, music, facilities, smiling faces, happy curious travellers, the golden sand, cutest dogs, Sune & Dina residing at the resort were the cherry on top. Most importantly, the team and the owners who have focused so greatly on making this resort feel like home completely delighted me. They care and are passionate about providing an authentic experience. The island hoping, snorkeling around the magnificent coral reefs were unforgettable, the hikes deep into the nearby village and beyond the hanging bridge into the deep jungle, was an absolute expedition into the wild, and I felt like Indian Jones on one of his adventures. Rich culture and nature of Palawan is an experience I will always be grateful for. What helped me explore all this was the fact that the resort staff had good knowledge of everything around the area and the logistics to support a solo traveller like myself.
