This historical castle hotel is absolutely fabulous. Great comfortable room, a nice restaurant with moderate prices, and a small but excellent breakfast buffet. But the best part was the service and friendly welcome we got. After check in we wanted to go for a walk, but it had started to rain. The very service minded receptionist (we think his name was Kamil) instead took us on a tour around many of the existing rooms and corners, gave us the history, and then suggested we played a game of pool, while waiting for the rain to stop. Such a good service is rare, and makes us want to come back.

If you are not in a car, it might be a bit of a walk to get into the old town. But it's a nice walk, and the beautiful restored center of Jelenia Gora is well worth it. Apart from this, it's an amazing hotel, and we recommend it without hesitating.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff, especially the ladies at the front desk and housekeeping, were incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. The location was great, inside a recreation area (forest) just outside town. The breakfast was superb. The dinner was excellent. The rooms were clean, practical. The art-decor building extremely nice.

The self-service coffee machine at the breakfast was very slow. Unfortunately, one was molested by terrible pop-music during breakfast and dinner. For dinner it was turned off after request, but not so for breakfast. The staff placed us in a different room, though.

This hotel is a former mansion and is beautifully decorated throughout. Rooms have lovely décor and a very high ceiling – typical to old mansions. The building is located on a quiet hilltop, surrounded by large parklands. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Lovely place.

It's located near the top of a small mountain so there are all kinds of walking trails around, which was great. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. The breakfast will last you all day.

Nice cosy place in a quiet environment, our room was beautifully equiped, a balcony with pleasant view of the park.

Restaurant food could be better.

Impressive little “castle” (it definitely impressed my parents) in an awesome location with direct view to Mount Sněžka (Giant Mountains’ highest summit) and surrounded by a large and densely wooded park with huge rocks and nice single trails (at day one of our stay there was even a UCI competition with a junior cross-country mountain bike race through the park, great to watch for my kids, and the kids loved to scramble the rocks and trails after the race). Rich and diverse breakfast buffet with both international standards (from various cereals to scrambled eggs and bacon) and regional delicacies, e. g. salads and sausages (not exactly my cup of tea with a rather vegan diet, but FYI). Asked for vegan milk and got it immediately – thanks for that! And the staff was really appreciating my suggestion to add more non-animal/dairy options. My room preferences – considering the needs of kids (proximity) and grandparents (not many stairs; but there’s a lift anyway) – were perfectly matched. Thank you for that!

A rather general issue with hotels: Thanks for the soy milk, but in 2022 I’d actually expect not even to have to ask for it, and would like to see more vegan food, also on the restaurant menu (that’s unfortunately something many hotels are reluctant to adapt to a changing reality).
