Paço de Vitorino is an impressive and beautiful historical house which at the same time offers all the modern comforts of a luxury hotel for those visiting it. We never tired of exploring the grounds of this house, including its peaceful gardens and fountains. At the same time, we were so well received by all the people working there who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and were extremely flexible with us (who were traveling with a young baby on this trip). Everything was impeccable. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and hope to come back soon!

The stay made you felt like Lord of the Manor...and I met the owner during a religious event (which included tea) at the property. Though the hotel was out of the way, the ever helpful Jorge helped with all the transportation and suggested routes when I preferred to walk to Pote de Lima: 8 km. The breakfast was continental; Jorge had upgraded me to a huge room. The bed was covered with divine Portuguese linen.

The wifi connection was spotty.

Everything! This place is wonderful! So peaceful and the facilities are perfect. The room was spotless and spacious and the salt water pool was super refreshing. Breakfast was lovely and lunch was available from the small bar next to the pool which was an added bonus. Bikes were free to use to go along the river path to Ponte de Lima or in the direction of Viana de Castelo.

This hotel is gorgeous. The perfect mix between historic and modern. We stayed in an old stable converted barn and the room was amazing and spacious! Staff are so friendly and even made us a welcome hamper as we arrive late. George have us a tour of the grounds and the old wine cellar which was very cool to see back to the 1600s aspects of the property. The breakfast was also wonderful. We can’t wait to come back again soon - hopefully when the weather is better so we can enjoy the pool too! Thanks for a great stay :)

Really Fabolous!! My wife and I had a very nice and interesting stay during three nights at Paço de Vitorino. The house is an encounter of good taste and hospitality, we really enjoyed the beautiful house and gardens, the breakfast and all services provided. Miguel and Jorge were very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. A truly excellent experience in all senses!

Unique place of tranquility and peace with unique spirit and a whiff of history. Great and pleasant people, stylish and tasty breakfast. Very nice pool with bar. We hugely enjoyed our whole stay and will hopefully come back.

Everything! The staff are amazing-very attentive to ensuring a comfortable, serene, and enjoyable stay. We were lucky enough to spend 5 nights at Hotel Paco de Vitorino. The grounds are beautiful and include a large pool. The bed was 10 out of 10 for comfort. . It felt like we were on a retreat, yet close enough to drive to Ponte de Lima, Ponte de Barca, Guimaraes, Braga & explore the Minho region. It was an unforgettable experience!!! Thank you!! Tranquil setting with lovely garden and beautiful Portuguese architecture. We were able to completely rest and enjoy the peaceful nature. We probably got the best sleep ever while staying at the hotel. We will always remember the view from the pool overlooking the cow pasture and the mountains. The staff is very attentive and caring - it felt like staying at a good friend's or family's home. The hotel has a small family church, a horse carriage, and a game room which were interesting to visit. We were treated with fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast that was sourced from a tree right on the property.

The place is beautiful with very friendly staff and great facilities. The pool is fantastic and a perfect place to relax with views down to the river. This is a real gem and I would thoroughly recommend it.
