Location excellent for Rita Vicentina trek stage 1 start as you are only 15 min walk to castle start and there is handy grocery to buy food for stage 2 across the street -- you will need to as stage 2 is remote with no services. Would stay here again!

The room was well presented and very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The location is good for exploring the Alentejo region, but you need a car. Right across the road from an excellent supermarket. Breakfast was excellent, our whole family enjoyed it.

The walls of the rooms are quite thin. We had a lot of 'nocturnal activity' in the room next to us, although I can't blame the hotel for that. I would say that I thought the hotel was a bit expensive for what was on offer, but we did enjoy our stay.

We just used the hotel for an overnight between Lisbon and the Algarve. The location was perfect for that. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The room was clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was beginning to show its age, but functional.We didn't use any of the facilities, so can't comment on those. We were able to park in the small car park outside the hotel. Our room had a view towards the sea in the distance and a historical building.

Nothing really to report. Although, check there's a kettle in your room (if you want one) at check - in. There wasn't in ours, but they brought one to us right away....but, as we later found out, there were no cups either 😊

We stayed in the Hotel Dom Nuno in Santiago do Cacém from April 21 to 23, 2023, not as planned. Our car was crashed by a negligent driver while driving on highway A2 to Lagos, our last vacation destination in Portugal. Both my husband and I were injured and sent to the local hospital not far from the hotel. Shocked, panicked, terrified, and confused facing the uneventful situations as a foreigner, I checked in the hotel after discharging from the hospital in the late evening on April 21, the hotel staff Andreia immediately provided her best support not only for what I need in the hotel, and also helped navigate the situations with local insight. The young staff Miguel also stepped in to assist. Walked into my room, I felt I was not alone and helpless anymore to deal with the stressful situations! I stayed for additional two days after my husband was out of the hospital but not ready for travel. While Andreia continued to help us for whatever we need far beyond her responsibilities as a hotel staff, Lilianna was also super helpful to assist us as much as possible. Every hotel staff we interacted tries their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Words could not express our heartfelt gratitude. It's unfortunately our holiday and physical conditions were negatively impacted by someone else's negligent driving behaviors, yet we witnessed the kindest people on earth! We truly enjoyed our stay in this very clear and high quality service hotel with friendly and attentive staffs. The breakfast was delicious with verity of choices. We highly recommended the Hotel Dom do Nuno if you travel to Santiago do Cacém.

The room was super clean and had a nice size. All the staff was super nice and very welcoming. The breakfast was amazing, it had a big variety of different foods to choose from. An "end of the day" dive in the pool is a must.
