I want to compliment the entire staff at Sleep Inn in Port Wentworth. Everyone I interacted with was nice and helpful, making us feel very welcome. After breakfast, every morning I looked forward to housekeeping coming by our room just to see the smiles on the faces of the couple taking care of the top floor during our stay. They were so kind to us and made sure we had everything we needed every single day. Sleep Inn of Port Wentworth definitely has a staff to be proud of, as employees who treat customers well are rare. I have stayed in about three hotels in this area recently, and this was the cleanest hotel yet. The free breakfast was at the top of the list for my 10-year-old son and me as one of our favorite features of Sleep Inn. There was also a pool, which we didn’t get to enjoy this time due to other commitments. We were disappointed not to be able to take advantage of it this time. The next trip it is a definite. You are not gonna get this many perks for any other hotels in this price range.

I could nitpick maybe a couple . But honestly, I enjoyed our stay so much, we ended up having to pay for 2 more nights. That was only because we’re so comfortable, it almost felt like home.

It is rated a two star hotel but we found it to be exceptionally clean and to have what we needed for a one night stay as we were on our way to Daytona Beach FL. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating especially Brandy who was in charge of the breakfast area.

The shower that was in very good condition and larger than most stand alone showers and had grips on the floor as well as a built in grab bar.

They granted my room request to be close to the lobby. Staff was extremely nice. Rooms were small but clean and the AC worked great. Shower stayed hot. We didn’t request it but housekeeping did come in and put out new clean towels for the next day.

The pool was closed. Some updates still need done like changing, dirty curtains, or fixing the seal around the shower door, but that did not detract from our stay

Outside of the city -

Paint peeling off doors in bathroom - walls too a little battered - the facility and rooms was a little ‘tired’ - holes in the comforter - cheap bedding and lumpy pillows ( bed itself was fine ) Breakfast was typical (nothing special) but horrible coffee

Breakfast was sparse in selection. The breakfast did not add value to the stay and since we had to get breakfast elsewhere, it was an unplanned added expense to our trip.

The room, the location, the breakfast, the quiet and the cleanness. It was an excellent room. I will stay here again if I am in this area, I have family close by and visit as much as possible. I would recommend this Sleep Inn.

Nothing

Everything was clean and comfortable, with lots of restaurants around. Every Sleep Inn I've stayed in recently has been excellent.

Nothing I didn't like

The front desk person I was wonderful nice kind greeted you in the morning. Greeted me when I came in that night. Recommended places I could eat since it was so late. Absolutely wonderful would stop there and sleep again.

Accessible room, very easy for me to maneuver in and everything was clean. Nice breakfast area in the morning. Staff at check-in and check-out were great. Tons of restaurants and stores.

Bit tough getting from one side of the road to the other for picking up takeout but once we figured it out we were fine.

The breakfast was good and my grandkids enjoyed it too especially the waffles

The bathroom needs a better door that locks not slide
