The Outrigger Reef Resort was amazing. The hotel front desk staff are so friendly, efficient and caring of the guests. The valets are very prompt, kind and take exceptional care of your vehicle. I appreciated the professional, yet very friendly conversations the valet staff and manager provided throughout my week stay. The front desk staff were so helpful in providing me answers to all my questions on events, travel and a few needs that came up for my room stay. By my second day at the hotel, I felt very comfortable with the staff and my way to navigate around Waikiki. The onsite dine in restaurant has wonderful food and drinks. The daily breakfast is outstanding, felt like a high level chef prepared the meals and their prices are affordable. The bar/restaurant outside in the open pool area was amazing. Food and drinks so good and the entertainment each night was wonderful and so authentic to the Hawaiian atmosphere. Our room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Hotel cleaning staff were so kind and kept our towels fresh each day and our room was always so tidy when we returned from our site seeing each day. This was my first time at the Outrigger and I plan on returning in 2024 for another wonderful trip.

Only thing that could be improved on would be more ice machines on the hotel floors. Also would appreciate more healthy drink options in the vending machines, like juices, vitamin water, etc.

Great Club Room Suite - very spacious and our family of 4 was very comfortable. Food/beverage and staff in the Club room (Voyager 47) were wonderful and we rated that very highly for breakfast and pre dinner drinks and canapes. All staff around the resort were very friendly and helpful. Loved having a Starbucks on site for those early morning breakfasts when we had early starts for tours. Also loved having the ABC store on site to grab quick bites, snacks, souvenirs and amenities.

Beautiful location on Waikiki Beach with spacious, comfortable and very clean rooms. We had an amazing view from our balcony with water and city views. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and every staff member was friendly and helpful. Shops and restaurants on site as well as all of Waikiki a short walk away. The pool is accommodating though with no view but close access to the beach makes up for it.

Unfortunately part of Waikiki beach along the hotel has eroded away. You have to walk about 20 yards to get to a sandy beach section.

Fantastic location - you can walk to Waikiki beach in 10 mins if you want bigger waves and a more lively environment, or just walk out onto the beach directly in front of the hotel(DeRussy) which has calmer waters and is more quiet. There are some rocks here so you may want water shoes…but keep walking down for a few minutes (you can only go to the right) and the 3rd sandy patch along has little to no rocks in the water. Having both types of beaches in close proximity was amazing - we loved starting the day on the more busy Waikiki beach and having a quiet sunset on the hotel beach later (there are fireworks on Friday nights around 8pm!) The staff at the hotel are all lovely too, from the receptionists, to the people at the towel desk, to cleaning staff….everyone is very helpful and friendly. There are cultural activities going on as well that you can join, yoga classes twice a week and live music every evening. It really is a perfect place to stay and we would definitely come here again.

We didn’t enjoy the breakfast at Monkeypod. We tried it once, and decided it wasn’t for us. The other family in our group had included breakfast in their booking but a few times opted to get breakfast from Starbucks (in the building) instead and not take up the included breakfast as they also weren’t enjoying it. The hotel is surrounded by other breakfast places just a stroll away so it isn’t actually a deterrent for the hotel. I should add that we didn’t try monkeypod for any other meals but it must have been good otherwise as it was very busy every night till late!

I choose Outrigger Reef Beach Resort for the location and beach access. The staff is always lovely especially the valets. The room was clean and spacious. It was a dream listening to such quality local music every night for free from my balcony.

This is the third time I've stayed at the property but the first since renovation. I was disappointed that there were not more dining options as in the past. The construction at the future Monkey Pod restaurant was unpleasant while sitting on the beach.

Loved the spacious, clean and welcoming reception to the hotel. The seating areas were great! The pool bar is really asset but not enough places to sit in the sun around the pool. The location of the hotel is great, Close enough but away from the noise!

Not enough sun beds in the sun around the pool, water for the shower was on the chilly side.

The monkey pod is gross and had really poor service. It was not worth the part of the beach you gave up for that restaurant

We were due to stay twice at this hotel during our trip, however we were bounced to a sister hotel (outrigger beach) at the last minute. However, after discussing our disappointment with Denis, we were upgraded to a very nice dual aspect room with great sea views. Location was good, close to the main strip and next to a small park. Hotel decor was modern light and airy, staff were helpful and friendly. The Voyager lounge at this property was nicer than the one at Outrigger Beach in our opinion, with a wider selection of food and larger outdoor space. The sunsets were great too and opening at 6:30am was really useful. The Monkeypod restaurant menu was extensive and food quality / presentation was very good. Unlike Outrigger beach, there is no App based booking system here, so it’s a first come first serve basis for a 7am breakfast sitting. The gym had a great layout and was open 24/7 with top quality equipment including a number of Peleton bikes, excellent running machines and a separate studio for yoga/ workouts.

The pool is uninviting and seamed somewhat cloudy when looking at it from our room. There’s no beach to speak of, however there is a public beach to the side of the property where sun beds can be rented. The Voyager lounge has a problem with Pigeons hunting constantly for scraps of wasted food left by ppl, this could be sorted using a Hawk service.

I had a wonderful stay at OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. The location is perfect — right on the beach with easy access to everything in Waikiki. My room was clean, beautifully decorated, and had an amazing ocean view. The staff were warm and welcoming from the start. I especially appreciated the live Hawaiian music in the evenings and the relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. The pool, beach bar, and on-site dining made it easy to enjoy every moment without leaving the property. It truly felt like a tropical getaway. I would definitely return.
