The hotel was two blocks from the Flix bus stop and right above the Bethesda Red Line Metro station. While the hotel has a restaurant onsite, it is within walking distance of several restaurants and a concert hall. A Dunkin Donuts is near the Metro station, as is a bus port for the DC area and county bus system. Several banks have branches with ATMs along Wisconsin Avenue. A children's museum is literally steps away from the hotel.

The underground mall right beneath the hotel is largely unoccupied. I suppose that like lots of malls this one had trouble regaining foot traffic following the COVID pandemic. Perhaps the underground mall can become a space for visual artists and music or theater groups.

The hotel room was clean but the bathroom tub could have been cleaner. We made the front desk aware and they cleaned it the next day because we arrived really late. The beds were really comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved that we could have the parking ticket validated since it is so difficult to find a hotel in Washington that one offers self-parking and two validation as well. We also loved the fact that they had Starbucks right there at the hotel. Major plus! We had a wonderful time and will be back in the future.

The hotel has plenty of space, both in the lobby and in the rooms, also a friendly and helpful staff and a very good location.

- Every afternoon there was a smell in the hotel, somewhat like acetone. The staff could never tell us what it was, but it got bad in one room, and we had to change rooms. - There was a mixup with Booking.com, and we got double charged for our rooms. We are still in the process of working that out.

Very convenient next to Metro, good Mortons in lobby. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Lovely atrium in center, recently updated. Great service . Large corner room on second floor. Quick refill of decaf coffee selection.

Bathtub drained slowly. Minimalist decor and grey and white scheme was too stark in such a large room. A comfortable reading chair in the corner section would be nice.

When we arrived Friday night, there was a huge line at reception; it took forever to get to the counter where there was a trainee checking people in. It wasn’t her who was holding up the line, but a man with a tour group. It would have been more efficient to have a third person there on one of the other computers.

Location was excellent

No lounge bar or restaurant - as a solo female traveller I don’t enjoy sitting at a bar . Morton’s steak house I had a very cramped bar area. No restaurant for breakfast unless you want Starbucks! I ended up going to AC Hotel across the road for breakfast and dinner where they have a very comfortable lounge area with bar service.

Large room, comfortable bed, proximity to the Metro station and a downtown diner. Staff was extremely polite and courteous. Shuttle van available to NIH headquarters. Also close to several banks and a shopping area. Metro buses to malls close by too.

The days of decent hotels at $100 a night are over. Even if you book well ahead of time, it is doubtful that you will get anything decent for less than $175 a night.

The room was very nice and the check in staff were super helpful. The location is fantastic. Its right next to the metro and the trains can take you most everywhere in DC. The hotel is far enough from DC to be cheaper, but close enough that the train in is easy. To get to metro station it was about 40 minutes, and it goes by fast. Also the kids museum is right next door which is great with families with kids. Our room was very clean too and housekeeping was nice.

The only real complaint I has was that we could hear a lot of sounds from the lobby. A lot of noise echoed up to us. We think the door's seal was a bit bad. From the inside, with the lights off, you can see a stream of light from the hall.

The hotel itself is a clean and accessible space. Immediately we were greeted by the grandiose entrance and went to be helped with the front desk. The staff were very helpful and our room was incredibly clean and spacious. The metro is also 3 min away so we had no trouble getting around.

The parking was frustrating because we were unsure about payment and the hotel ended up overcharging us for it. Although we got our refund back, there should be an access pass for just the Hotel. The fitness room could be a bit better as well.

The rooms here are quite large for the price, and very clean. Location can't be beat, right in the middle of Bethesda, so you can walk to so many restaurants and the metro is right there. Bathrooms have been modernized, the beds are super comfy and linens are high quality. Staff is fantastic. Always friendly, always ready to help.

The reason this property is so well priced is that it is not a full service hotel. You get a lovely room, but that's it. There is no breakfast, no room service, no laundry service. Lots of places around to order food delivery, and there is a Morton's steakhouse in the lobby. For breakfast there's a Brown Bag cafeteria style place and a Starbucks in the lobby. I just walked across the street to the new Marriott for breakfast, where there is a nice casual restaurant with great atmosphere. I also don't like that the windows do not open. They are old windows that don't bring in much light, and I love fresh air.
