Beautiful setting. The outlook of the pool against the beach was idyllic. The staff at the hotel were fabulous and extremely attentive. Which made our stay so comfortable. The breakfast was also very good 👍

We were extremely unhappy with the standard of the family room. It did not look at all like picture advertised on bookings.com - so it was a big disappointment. Felt more like a hostel. No sea view at all and huge electrical pylon right outside window. The hotel staff did manage to move us to a better room for most of our stay. Which helped the situation. However some major maintenance issues with the decking around the pool and also the swimming pool tiles. Which need replacing immediately for safety purposes!

Hotel & room was neat and clean. Swimming facility is good.

Night-shift reception staff was bit impolite when answering maybe he was so tired, but his advice was a kind of insulting people. Others staffs such as domestic helpers, technician are so nicely trained and very helpfully good. Location is ok. Parking lot design is bit narrowly inconvenient need to walk far from reception about 200-400m depends on the parking point especially when get back late, have to walk so far. From beach-side restaurants at hotel front to reception is far but acceptable.

We loved the clean and spacious room. We booked with ocean view - lovely balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and refreshing.

For us - 1 vegetarian + 1 vegan - it was really a challenge regarding food. The hotel offers very little vegetarian food and actually no vegan food except fries. They did make a dish with veggies, tofu and noodles yet it is the year 2025 and a 4 star hotel should be ready to cater vegetarians. Especially since it is a hotel involved in environmental responsibility as stated. The breakfast buffet we had one day and was well overpriced for only veg/vegan. In all warm dishes like fried rice, noodles etc they out meat. Location wise it is nice if you look for a calm stay yet to get around you will need a scooty and it is not so much around. :-)

Very beautiful location right next to the beach. The pool overlooks the beach and one can just walk down to it. It's not crowded..just the guests at the villas mostly. We booked the deluxe villa..it was lovely, spacious and had a great bath tub to relax in. The pool area and restaurant are the best. And conveniently located near to so e great seafood restaurants.and bars and convenience stores and massage center. The staff and cleaning personnel were friendly and all smiles always. 5 days felt too short !

Where do I start. Nothing about this place deserves a negative comment. Modern spacious rooms, super comfy beds, pillows, staff amazingly friendly and knowledgeable, great sized pool. On the Sea side of the Mercure (2 separate hotels), a couple of steps to the lovely beach, and warm waters. Food a little pricey, but does have an excellent Top Floor Terrace restaurant with very nice dishes. Will definitely come back again, very quiet being off season, but still enjoyed some 🌞

the pool was super nice. With a view to a small island and directly to the sea. The breakfast was super! They offer a nice buffet with American Asian and Thai cuisine. The staff is quick and friendly. Not much western tourist, I like it!

Our room was superb but a bit humid. A lot of mosquitos around. It might be because of ground floor the room in the upper floor was much better and in addition they had a mosquito killing light . Might should have asked for it. Realized it to late.

It’s a lovely new hotel the grounds and pool side areas are very nice plenty of good comfortable sun beds, Ford who operates the bar does a great job he is so affable and nothing is too much trouble for him or the rest of the other staff, Very well equipped comfortable bedrooms with a great sea view.

There is nothing I did not like about the hotel, however there. Is a shortage of public transport in the area there are a couple of bars and plenty of seafood restaurants on the beach,

We had a wonderful stay at the Mercure hotel. We loved the beachfront location - so nice to be able to lay out by the pool with an immediate view of the beach and choose to go for a dip in the pool or the ocean. I loved hearing the sound of the waves all day too. So relaxing. Plenty of places to sit around the pool/by the beach, with a bar/restaurant nearby serving all day. Short walk to restaurants and basic shops down the road. It is a bit expensive for the area but it was a really nice stay for a few days.

The hotel is idyllic, located right on the ocean. We had a villa with our collie dog Teagen, it was a fabulous experience, the room was luxurious, spacious and spotless ly clean. The staff were all outstanding, kind, welcoming and polite, they made us feel welcome.

The architect didn’t think of the elderly as there are no clear flows, pathways have too many changes of levels which caused me to stumble a few times, even in the room you stepped down a couple of inches as you entered the bathroom. They need to consider how you would get around in a wheelchair. I wasn’t impressed with the western breakfast however a great selection for Thais and good selection of fruit and pastry.

The breakfast served at the Oceanside part of the hotel was excellent, although a little inconvenient having to take a mini bus to get there. The breakfast at the new part of the hotel was not good, all the hot food was stone cold and they couldn’t make scrambled eggs properly, very disappointing.

There was nothing major to complain about about, just a few small niggles, the mirror above the sink was fixed way too low for anybody tall, It needed to be 12 inches higher.
