The location was terrific. It was Quiet and beautiful. Tucked away next to the beach, it avoided the loud bars and drunk tourists downtown. The staff were beyond friendly. When I left, I felt like I was leaving a family friend's house.

It was perfect for me, but the rooms are bare bones, and I could imagine it might be loud if you had a neighbor in the adjoining room. The beds were a little firmer than I like, but again, for the price, you really can't beat the price and location.

Simple and lovely place. Very caring and helpful hosts who make you feel at home. There's not a lot of bells and whistles, but the property is small, beautiful and well maintained with direct access to the beach. Rooms are basic and comfortable (especially since you are likely to spend most of your time outside), there are spaces near the beach to relax, the food is great. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and comfortable. NOT a luxury stay so don't come here looking for that. It IS very homey and peaceful.

probably the best in the middle part of the island with clean private beach and a spacious resting area under palm trees (not available in every neigbourhood property). Lunch food is simple but very delicious. The host has always been kind and welcoming, arranged nice island roundtrip with snorking and sightseeing. Easy access to and from Ban Phe Pier via the White Shark speedboat (time schedule at a two hour interval), which dropped us off and picked us up at a nearby beach, just a few hundred meters' walk from the property.

The drainage in the upstairs room has a noticeable odor that can slightly spread across the entire resting area on the beach in the morning. Problem solved after noon. The soundproofing in the rooms is poor, which could become an annoying issue if neighbors are not very mindful of social etiquette, such as talking loudly in their rooms or slamming bathroom doors. I do suggest the owner to install some silicone or felt pads on the bathroom doors to reduce the noise when they are opened or closed.

Viking is a great place to stay on Koh Samed. The staff is super friendly, the place very well looked after, our family room was amazing - spacious, lots of lights due to the big windows. The food is very good (though not available after 5pm, however you find restaurants closed by. The relaxing area has lots of natural shade, toys for kids. It is super kids friendly - we were there with 3.

The beach area is really small - so if you just want to go for a swim, perfect, it is not to hang out. this is basically 1 level up. It is not enough reason, not to book Viking again. Short Tuktuk rides away are broader beaches to visit.

This was our first stay in Thailand, and we absolutely loved both the destination and the hotel. The staff was excellent, the location stunning, and the breakfast very good. The small beach near the hotel was perfect for our children (5 years, 3 years, and 10 months), and within a short walking distance, there are more beaches and more restaurants. The hotel's food and drink prices were also very reasonable. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras, like free sand toys for the kids, complimentary snorkeling gear, and a ping pong table available for guests. These small touches made our stay even more enjoyable!

In its bay is the most central, cleanest bungalow structure, with deck chairs and services available and you can eat Thai very well. The owners are kind and helpful, attentive to your needs and discreet, available to book us taxis and travel services. Relax assured

This is such a great place run by Pi Tik and Thom. They are great characters and run a very comfy, very clean, well organised place. They care about the small details. A small beach is accessible very nearby but they have a beautiful seawall area to sit, lounge in the sun, eat and order drinks/food. The food was great! Especially I loved the kapao muu. Breakfast was wonderful; salad, toast, eggs and a variety of different Thai food each day.

My first room was behind the restaurant and I had a noisy neighbour (otherwise it's really quiet because it's at a very chill part of the island/beach). When I moved rooms, it was paradise again! Loud neighbours with no awareness - had nothing to do with Viking Holidays.

We have found our favourite resort in Thailand. It has the most excellent location, equipped with the nicest people I have ever met. The breakfast selection is phenomenal and I love how they usher you in. The rooms are clean and comfortable and they don’t smell like perfume or cleaning products, it smells fresh! We had the best room on the property and the room was huge. They have the cutest little painted signs that warm your heart and describe the flora. Loved watching people play ping pong. And we can’t believe how hard the whole staff work constantly. They set us up with some scooters to explore the island and they were good quality. Words can’t describe how much we enjoyed this resort.

Excellent breakfast, good restaurant, friendliness of the staff. We travelled with a 10-month-old baby and even though they didn’t had a baby crib, they made a baby bed for us and gave our baby a teddy bear as a complimentary. The small beach is ideal for kids, there is some shadow aswell and modest waves. Water is crystal clear, the beach is not trashy. Free sand toys, games and swimming toys. Awesome sea view from the room. Couple of nice restaurants nearby.

Mosquitos so bring your own repellent aswell Just instant coffee on breakfast buffet but with a nice price a possibility to order special coffee aswell! Everything was quite perfect so we extended our stay!
