Beautiful quiet, peaceful and quiet resort on the island. Rooms were clean and matched with exactly as expected in the advertisement. Private beach with chairs. Their restaurant provide a decent selection of food and drink for reasonable prices and with a fire show too!with staff always around to help out when in need. A perfect place to come and relax and getaway from reality

Only downside is how far away is it from the rest of the island. You’re only 2 options is to hire a scooter or pay for taxi. That being said the resort has just about everything you need so if you don’t plan to explore the island then it isn’t a big deal :)

I was apprehensive about booking this place as some of the Google reviews were terrible. But I'm so glad I did because it's a wonderful hotel and the location is beautiful. We had the best room (the suite right at the top!) so the view was amazing and the room was lovely. We also really enjoyed the fire show at night (we live in Thailand and have seen hundreds of fire shows, but this was was pretty good!). The restaurant is also lovely - very relaxing set up and the breakfast is good.

There was nothing we didn't like about this place. I thought I'd address most common complaints I've read about this hotel to help you with your decision: 1) The staff don't speak English: That is true, but unless you have made an effort to learn Thai, I don't think that's a fair complaint. They try their best despite the language barrier. Some of them are a bit grumpy, but so would you be if you had stupid people yelling in English at you all day. Have some patience. 2) The breakfast wasn't varied enough: This is ridiculous - they have eggs, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, an array of Asian dishes. What more do you need/expect on an island? Ok, I'll admit the coffee is TERRIBLE but it's not a good enough reason not to stay here, because it's excellent.

We loved everything about this resort, staff working soo hard and they are super kind! all resort dogs and cats were cute would take them home :) resort is in the middle of island and easy to get to main town also beach is nice and easy to walk to another beaches next to our resort. it was like heaven on the earth. Bed comfortable AC was working good btw great bfast really enjoyed variety + restaurant view Just bring enought money - there is no ATM at island but easy to exchange money

Facilities, restaurant, beach, room, everything was great. But it is the staff that are the true superstars here. From the owners who are present and active every day to the cleaning people everyone is so friendly and helpful. They even went out of their way to do something for my fiancee's birthday. We look forward to our next visit.

I do have a gripe and it was the poor WIFI.

The privacy and quiet but easy to get to town by taxi or 30 min walk. Staff were friendly and lovely. The room was magnificent. Exactly as pictured and high end decor. Comfortable and relaxing. Great food at restaurant.

Everything was fabulous. I would recommend they try to cover bright blue power light on the air conditioner unit as made room very bright overnight.

It was quiet with its own beach and I had the best room there.

The room was amazing! There was a storm while I was there but I was in the bath on the balcony, reading my book and drinking red wine. A great memory. There was a manager there who was extremely helpful and friendly. I hope he finally managed to get home to relax with a beer!

Our room was beautiful and the view was amazing. Overall it was clean and nice. The staff not very welcomy to be honest, but they were polite. Breakfast was good. I guess you have to choose ove of the best rooms, because some of them did not look very nice, I guess they were the cheapest.

Too expensive to be honest, I've seen better resorts for lower price.

We really enjoyed a nice panorama view from the room where we stayed with great sunset and sunrise. Room itself was clean enough. From the beach, we could use an internet with enough bandwidth. Food was also nice and especially the place was quiet which was what we hoped there.

It would be great, if we can communicate more with the staff in English.

The view was beautiful, the beach was amazing, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nice music from the band and a short fire show to entertain. We were very happy with our choice on Koh Samet. Sangthian Beach resort was a well run place with a happy vibe.

Didn't have a pool, but beach was great for swimming
