The hotel has wonderful ambience and the room was huge. Staff everywhere except the restaurant were excellent

The restaurant lets the hotel down hugely - breakfast is not good value for money and the staff in the restaurant are not very friendly or helpful at all

The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful despite the busyness. The location was the main reason I chose this place. It's close to eateries, MRT, and shopping malls.

I have always been staying in Village Hotel Albert Street when I am in Singapore. There is a price hike after Covid. I hope the room rates can be lower, especially for Malaysians like me.

Wonderful location, charming building. Very close to little India and walking distance to lots of facilities and malls. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t have been more helpful - especially Syed and Jamal, who were so lovely when I was dealing solo with toddler and newborn: they brought me coffee and snacks for my daughter. Thank you!

The pillows!! Sounds like such a small thing but they were so high that I ended up making a pillow out of a sweater. Everything else was wonderful

Overall, it was a good enough stay in a convenient location. The room was fine—clean and functional, which suited our needs as we were mostly out exploring Singapore during the day. It’s a decent place to sleep, but nothing particularly memorable or special. The lobby staff were welcoming and polite, and they quickly provided thinner pillows when we asked, which was appreciated. The location was definitely a plus—just a 5-minute walk to Rochor MRT, which made getting around very easy.

One thing that stood out as a bit frustrating was the tap water situation. There was a sign in the bathroom encouraging guests to drink the tap water, which we were happy to do using the glasses provided and to refill our bottles. However, the water never actually came out cold it was always slightly warm, even from the cold tap. When we asked about it, staff confirmed that the water tends to be warm and suggested using ice instead. In previous stays at other Singapore hotels, cold drinking water dispensers were standard, and it would be great to see something similar offered here.

We stayed 5 nights.Huge room with lots of space to hang clothes etc. Large bathroom. Air con worked well as did TV. Two table lamps and sockets by the side of the bed.Kettle, fridge. Soundproofing was really effective. Couldn't hear any exterior noise.Staff couldnt have been more helpful. Wonderful housekeeper who greeted us with a smile and cleaned room perfectly every day and great reception staff. They even provided towels for us and the use of showers before a late flight after we had checked out. Very near to bus stops and MRT and Little India and its restaurants and shops.

Breakfast had a good selection for our family with young kids. Hotel rooms were spacious and the hotel fulfilled our request for connecting family rooms, which we we very grateful for. The beds were comfy and there was good storage space. Staff were polite and friendly. The hotel was in a great location for the metro (Rochor station was a 5-minute walk from the hotel).

Our family rooms (214 and 215) were above a live music bar which was very loud and noisy and on two of our 5 nights went on until around 1 am. If you are traveling with young children going to bed early and don’t need interconnecting rooms, we would recommend asking for a room in a quieter part of the hotel. Nevertheless, we highly appreciated the spaciousness of the two interconnecting rooms and we all slept well after the long sightseeing dates.

It was in a great city location, where everything was really close to that place. The suite looked just like on the pictures, and nothing surprising. We were also able to store our luggage around the reception, when we checked out🤗 The stuff was really nice👍🏻

The wifi wasn’t that great, and also the TV signal was quite bad… Some of the channels even were cracking, and weren’t able to watch at all, and the other ones that had better signals - those view quality was very poor, like under any score😅 But I get it, it’s an classic hotel, with no luxury, and you get what you get with that price.

The staff was extremely hospitable- specifically Jamal at the front desk made us feel very welcome! Our flights were unfortunately timed and they let us keep our luggage both before and after check-in/check-out for a good number of hours which was very appreciated. The room was extremely nice and clean with a focus on sustainability. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel is just a few short minutes away from the train station which made it easy for us to travel around. All in all a great experience!

The place and ambience were really welcoming. The setup of the whole hotel feels very homely and comfortable, easy to find our way around. Location is perfect. All necessary amenities of good quality provided. Just next to MRT and easy access to restaurants and 7/11. Hassle free checkin and checkout. They do daily cleaning and laundry that was really great as the room felt brand new everyday, which we had to request not to coz we were only in the room for the night as we were sightseeing. Even coffee, towels and all get replaced in their daily cleaning. The staff were really supportive and friendly. I’m sorry i couldn't get the name of the lady who did out check in, but big shoutout to her for making us feeling feel very welcomed and made our stay great from the start and was willing to assist in our queries as first timers to singapore. Big shoutout to Ahgilan who was a very lovely soul and corporative in checking out and storing out luggages as we had a few hours to kill until our flight time. He went beyond and above to be supportive. Also would like to appreciate Grace and JJ for their support in making our stay comfortable. Overall really happy and would definitely recommend to stay at Village Hotel Albert Court.

For me I found the pillows a bit too big, if a slightly fluffier set of pillows could also be kept it would be great. But overall not a dealbreaker given everything else.
