Hotel Carol exceeded my expectations in every way! Nestled in a quaint, historic building, this charming 3-story hotel perfectly captures the essence of Constanta. From my balcony on the third floor, I enjoyed breathtaking views of the Black Sea, just a leisurely 10-minute walk away. Stepping into my classic-styled room, I was immediately struck by its spaciousness and comfort. It felt like a home away from home, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. Each morning, I indulged in the excellent breakfast spread served in the inviting dining area. The variety of options ensured there was something to satisfy every palate. Moreover, the reception staff were always warm, welcoming, and eager to assist with any inquiries or requests. Their hospitality truly enhanced my stay and made me feel well taken care of throughout my time at Hotel Carol. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better accommodation in Constanta. Hotel Carol perfectly combines comfort, convenience, and hospitality, making it the ideal choice for any traveler seeking a memorable stay by the Black Sea.

This is s quiet hotel located in a historical building, 2 minutes walk from the sea and the beach. We liked everything - the room for which we got a free upgrade to junior suite; the breakfast which was very good and plentiful and the location - close to sea shore and away from the crowds. A very high mark goes to the staff who were accommodating our every single request. Will definitely stay again at Carol when traveling to Constanța.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and has a pleasant aesthetic - very instagramable. My room was spacious, I enjoyed the vintage vibe and the phone was an especially nice touch. I forgot to take some toiletries, but fortunately, I found everything I needed in the bathroom. There were also slippers and bathrobe in the closet. Of the amenities, I especially appreciated how clean and well-heated the bathroom was. The breakfast was delicious, with great variety, rotating menus, sometimes local specialities - I felt right at home when I tasted our traditional aubergine salad (it's like baba ganoush but with mayo). The location is great. It is close to the sea and to the city centre, where you can find some great restaurants. Plus, there is a pharmacy and a mini market nearby. Train station is a few minutes ride by taxi (ask the hotel for a reliable one though or take Uber so you don't risk getting scammed. Thank you Hotel Carol team, will be sure to book again if and when in Constanta!

This is not a minus, but since my stay was in winter, I was hoping to find extra blankets as well as I tend to get cold. My concern was useless, since the room, while it has a high ceiling, was very well heated.

The property is full of character with high ceilings and period furniture. My room was large with dual aspect windows and an extremely comfortable bed. Hot shower with good pressure and loads of towels. Friendly and professional staff and a good selection of food at breakfast, savoury rather than sweet. 10 minutes from the beach and the restaurant lined marina. A shopping centre also 10 minutes walk away. I imagine that the streets around the hotel could get busy in the summer but, in April, peaceful and tranquil all day and silent at night. Would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again

Well I would call it nice 3* hotel but price was not bad (maybe low season in March...), just short walk to main shopping street, and not far away from old town and seaside. location is the best feature

Chairs are too big and heavy in the room. Extremely difficult to insert the plug of the kettle due to wire shortness and lack of electric socket at proper distance.It is necessary to move the night table to do it. Air conditioning system without clear indications on functioning. Air flow too low even when set at maximum power.

The room was spacious, and clean. Everything was comfortable and extras such as bathing robes/ slippers were provided by the accommodation. It was perfect for what we were looking for as a base in central Constanta, close to old town.

The breakfast was ok, they didn't plug in the heating module. The rest was ok as expected from a continental breakfast.

I had a great stay at Hotel Carol – the room was elegant, spacious, very comfortable and very clean. The staff were kind and professional, and the location is perfect, close to the bus station, beach, old town, restaurants. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the fresh, tasty breakfast. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Constanța!

I enjoyed the vintage and nautical style of this hotel. The bed was amazing! There was also a beautiful balcony. I enjoyed the breakfast and location too. The staff were very kind and helpful.

I believe there was a tub in the picture for the room that I ordered and I did not receive that so I was a bit disappointed.
