Very sweet property nestled in the hills above Cividale del Fruili with views of vineyards. We enjoyed the wellness center (note you must pay extra to use it) the saunas and spa were a lovely treat after spending 6 days hiking the Alpa Aldria Trail. The included breakfast had a nice selection and they made coffee to order which was a nice treat.

Our rooms were located in the wellness center building. We didn’t realize when we booked that there were two buildings. I missed the charm of staying in an older building, but my room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I’m sure you can get there using public transportation, but it’s located outside of the city center. I think having a car is the easiest way to reach this location.

The ambiance is amazing (mideval atmosphere, lovely garden, the view), there's a little play area for kids, friendly staff, 20 minute walk to town and we really enjoyed the rooftop jaccuzzi.

Just a note, that the pool is part of the wellness, hence not for kids - but the jaccuzzi makes up for it:)

We arrived just before the thunderstorm and were so happy we could have a drink in the lounge and then enjoy a super dinner right there. Very friendly staff, mostly family I guess. Our dog was very welcome.

Everything was perfect from the first moment. We booked the hotel for New Year (weekend). Hotel (Mrs. Barbara) helped us with booking for New Year's Eve dinner in a local restaurant. The wellness area is very cozy and relaxing. The staff couldn't be better. The location and the view are incredible. Warm recommendation. Don't think twice - book now!

A bed with a blanket that has no cover but only a sheet. How many guests or even dogs have slept under this blanket before me. A terrible feeling when you touch this blanket.

The staff was great and willing to accommodate the change of plans. The hotel is in a very quiet place.

The room is rather basic. Wellness facilities are at extra charge, need to be booked in advance and no children are allowed. I realised it after booking, so was not able to try it. The restaurant was not as good as the other reviews are suggesting. Overall, the description on the web-site gives you more expectations than what it really is.

They gave us a considerable upgrade at no extra cost to an end room in the old building with a balcony. Also the restauant food is really excellent and the breakfast a great value.

The whole spa was closed. I imagine if it were open I'd be giving this place rave reviews. However no key to get in late and the old folks at the desk wait up for you. Makes you feel like its your parents insisting you get home by midnight. Also they won't let you sit outside after you return at 12. They really have to provide keys to allow guests to get in late or to enjoy the outside patio as late as wanted. Silly not to.
